Alan is absolutely wonderful. Ive been seeing Alan for a couple years and I' haven't felt this good in a long time. I stand on my feet all day and have an autoimmune disease and Alan has helped me manage my inflammation and joint pain. He is very knowledgeable, professional and listens to your concerns. I highly recommend him.

I have suffered from anxiety and depression for over 10 years, in the last two years it became more severe and turned my anxiety into panic attacks. I tried everything from therapy to yoga to running and while it all helped it was still there under the surface. I've never wanted to try medication because I wanted to get to the root of the problem instead of treating the symptom. A friend of mine suggested going to see Alan at Akamai Acupuncture about a year ago, but I was hesitant to try it because it seemed so foreign to me. About two months ago I said enough is enough, I don't want to live like this anymore and scheduled my appointment. I was super nervous going in but just as soon as I spoke to Alan I felt so calm, he has a really gentle, kind personality and made me feel so comfortable. After the first session I already felt different, I woke up in the morning energized instead of dreading the day ahead. Fast forward to a couple months later and I feel like "me" again. I no longer feel nervous and anxious and I can actually feel joy again. I also have had some other side benefits, my PMS has gotten way more manageable, my digestion is better, and I crave healthier foods now. I wish I had met Alan sooner. He and Acupuncture have been the biggest blessing to me. I highly recommend Alan to anyone who's suffering with anything that's holding them back from living your best life. Thank you Alan!!!!

Alan at Akamai Acupuncture is truly one of those individuals who does his profession a service. I spent almost a week in the hospital where I could not stand or walk on my own, I could not eat or keep food down. I had thoughts that my days of normal life were done. No official diagnosis, I was told I probably suffered a stroke. When released I could barely stand and still experienced nausea. I sought help. Akamai was my savior. Alan spoke with me, we spoke extensively about what I was experiencing and Alan told me he could help. A bit apprehensive, I decided to give acupuncture a try. I am so glad I did. Alan had me feeling better right from the first treatment. I could feel my body responding to the treatment and within a short time Alan had me feeling like myself. His compassion,knowledge and just all around great guy was the medicine I needed. I cannot thank him enough for his generous service and compassion as a human being. I truly know you will always be in the right hands. Alan is the best of the best! I will never be able to thank him enough.

Alan is a amazing acupuncturist! I came in with a bad headache and he was able to address my needs and and help me reach a deep relaxation space! He is a master at his trade! I really love the crainial sacral treatment I had as a add on! I would highly recommend Alan to anyone who has minor or major injury's or if your just looking to relax!

My experiences with Alan at Akamai Acupunture have been highly successful. I was shocked to find out that I had shingles and thank goodness I was able to see Alan that very day to begin treatments with him that limited the severity from painful to mildly uncomfortable, and arrested the lesions so that they were barely visible. With only two treatments the disturbed area reduced from 4" in diameter to the size of a quarter. Throughout these treatments Alan kept considering additional assistance with herbs, etc. I also enjoyed and benefited from his infrared table pad, which kept me warm throughout my treatments. I highly recommend him to anyone and know that they, too, will be given exceptional and personal care.

If your looking for a really great acupuncturist on Maui,you should go to see Alan. I have been to at least 20 different acupuncturists in my lifetime all across the US, so I feel confident when I give this excellent review of him. He is very attentive and professional. Also knowledgable about good diet and general overall good health. His massage methods are fantastic. He has a very good understanding of the anatomy involved with the pain. After my first appointment with Alan my healing process began. I have had three treatments and feel almost 100% healed and back to my active lifestyle. I went in to treat my Achilles tendinitis and a slight tennis elbow. Allen was very patient and knowledgeable about my situation. I'm on my third treatment and I am no longer limping and my tennis elbow is gone. This is my first experience with acupuncture but will recommend it to anyone in pain.

I would recommend Alan to anyone who wants to try acupuncture. He is very knowledgeable, very caring, and most importantly an excellent listener. Before he starts the treatment, he really finds out what exactly are your areas of concern and focuses on relieving these pains/problems.

For the last two and a half years I have had chronic pain due to Trigeminal Neuralgia. I had been through a series of doctors, and multiple pharmaceutical medications - none of which could make a dent in my chronic pain. Before receiving acupuncture I was sceptical but Alan was truly amazing! He took the time to listen to my problem and evaluate the situation with me. He had a superb combination of knowledge on the subject, and compassion which made me feel completely comfortable the whole time. After one treatment my pain was better - still there, but much more dull. Wow! For someone in chronic pain this is a huge success! After feeling the same pain for so long, and searching for some form of relief; I can't put into words how happy I was the the results. Alan went above and beyond and set me up with Chinese herbs, and I am going to try and replace my medications with natural options. I am very excited to continue acupuncture treatments and hopefully one day become medication fee and pain free! I would recommend Alan to anyone, and I was truly grateful to have met him!

Alan always goes the second mile with his treatments and therefore makes a significant difference. Besides being fully knowledgeable with the needles, he also utilizes a laser that deepens the treatment. I greatly appreciate how he will research a specific question or topic on the internet while I am resting with the needles so that he can further educate me. His listening skills are exemplary and his eyes reveal his genuine concern and care. I have had chronic back issues from my early 20's. I have had massage and chiropractic, largely through the years to seek relief. I have, in the past, been skeptical about acupuncture. However, I have heard many in my circles speak highly of it. I went for a visit to Alan Schroepfer recently for lower back pain that was leading to numbness in my legs. I must say, I am no longer a skeptic. I walked out of my visit feeling immediate benefits. I have, even almost two weeks later, still feeling benefits from my initial treatment. Alan is knowledgable and caring with a healing touch. I have gone to him in the past for massage. I will continue to seek his services and now include acupuncture in the mix....I AM A BELIEVER!

Acupuncture is a new experience for me. I have had arthritus in my hands for nearly twenty years. I never believed that acupuncture treatments would do anything for me because I'm a skeptic. However, while complaining to a friend about the pain I was enduring daily in my arthritic hands, she mentioned, maybe I should try acupuncture treatments. Well, I have now had three treatments from Alan, and can honestly say that I was thoroughly impressed with the treatments that I've received. Being a skeptic, I was amazed as to how thorough and professional Alan was. Both my husband and I have changed our diet, on the advice of Alan and have had positive results. I was so nervous about the treatments at first, because I was sure it would hurt, and was pleasantly surprised to find that the treatment was virtually painless. Before I was referred to Alan, I had never experienced acupuncture. Now I don't know if any other acupuncturist will measure up! Alan is warm and caring, knowledgeable about his work, and you can tell he loves what he does and is truly concerned about the well being of his patients. I always look forward to my weekly appointments. If you have any hesitation at all about Chinese Medicine or acupuncture...go see Alan! You will be glad you did.

I have seen an acupuncturist a couple times before but none have been like Alan. He loves what he does and prides himself on giving you the best treatment. It's not just a job to him. Very professional yet personable vibe to his sessions. As for effectiveness, let's just say that I don't need assistance getting out of bed now. Even though my main concern going into my first appointment was my lower back, my entire body from head to toe feels more 'in balance'.

This is the best acupuncture treatment I've had, where we fill out a comprehensive medical history and detailed description of our symptoms. Alan is very knowledgeable and takes time to explain to us everything and to listen to how we feel. I felt improvements right away, I'm feeling much better from my back pains and low energy with just 2 sessions and I'm looking forward to the next sessions. The holistic approach of acupuncture and herbs is the right treatment for me and I would go nowhere else to find the support my body needs. My experience with Alan a very enlightening and awakening experience. His insight into my own body was past any physical or metaphysical awareness that I was currently capable of. This shifted me to begin to explore various aspects and elements of my own health that had been neglected. I appreciate both the time and the patience that Alan displayed while supporting his work. His conversations were genuine and his thought process was inline with what I believe spiritually. I will be continuing my treatments with Alan and I would recommend anyone who is currently on the fence to give the man a shot, you will be very glad that you did so and if you are like myself will find yourself wondering how you have managed so far along without it.
