We purchase our beans from small estates and co-ops that provide the ideal altitude, climate, and soil conditions for our coffee. Our master roaster Phil Grant micro-roasts these premium coffee beans in small batches of no more than 45 pounds to ensure that you receive the highest quality and freshness possible.

Coastal Peaks is constantly evolving and trying new things. The staff and owner Mike are great, always concerned about the customer. It's were I get my coffee and there is no shortage of coffee houses in San Luis Obispo. Go and enjoy two thumbs up.

First off, thank you for taking the time and effort to make a proper espresso drink...I look for the crema on top, and yours have it. Keep up the good work, and the high standards. I enjoy the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, too- an oasis in the busy South Higuera corridor where you can kick back and catch your breath!

I was walking in the area and noticed a 'new coffee shop.' I went in and was delighted! The ambiance was serene and the service was friendly. I had a wonderful cup of coffee and an excellent almond croissant!!! It was a delightful experience!

Costal Peaks has the best coffee on the central coast. The staff is extremely helpful ... always friendly. We love the atmosphere with the comfortable seating, the art on the walls, the beautiful scenes on the wide screen TV, and the soft music. We love to relax on the patio with our wee dog Wesley. All of the food items on the menu are delicious. We visit Costal Peaks almost everyday of the week.

Recently moved to California from the east coast and one of the things I've been looking for has been good local coffee. I found out about Coastal Peaks after a visit to my company's office in San Luis Obispo. It's so good, it's bought in bulk for use in the office. I had to visit the shop in person, and I wasn't let down. I had a great drink and picked up some beans to go. Now I've got another reason to look forward to my visits to SLO!

The co workers at Coastal Peaks are exceptional with their service and especially the way they treat the costumers. I'm blown away by the friendly people, the relaxed atmosphere and the great coffee and food. This place and the workers deserve every costumer that the comes and much more! Mike, this was my second time at Coastal. Each trip has been very pleasant. The staff is attentive, smiles, asks to help. Orders are prepared quickly and accurately. Really enjoy the coffees. Keep up the good work! Dennis

What I like about Coastal Peaks Coffee is that the coffee is different than the run of the mill Starbucks or Peet's Coffee. I usually buy an iced coffee which has a delicate cold brew flavor as opposed to the more harsher tasting brew at Starbucks/Peet's. The ice cube/coffee ratio is just right unlike Starbucks where you feel like you're getting a cup of ice and trickle of coffee. The staff is always friendly and the lounge area is a nice place to rest as you enjoy your coffee. But the one thing that sets Coast Peaks Coffee ahead of everyone else is literally behind the curtain. It's the only place I know of in town that sells a selection of green coffee beans for the amateur home roaster. The green beans are reasonably priced too! I just wish the green coffee beans weren't hiding behind that curtain.

I love going here! The people are friendly and knowledgeable. There is a good selection for coffee and tea, and the food is great too! I go almost every Saturday. The only thing that I don't necessarily like is when the spare room is being used, which takes away most of the seating. All in all, great place!

Staff was very friendly and informative. Food and tea were very good. Appreciate the parking lot instead of street parking with meters like downtown slo. Like the location. The only thing I didn't like was the decor, dark and bland. I will would prefer lighter and brighter colors.

The recent remodel is very nice! The gals behind the counter were cheerful and very helpful. I like the coffee since it's different from the usual run of the mill Starbucks and much better than the nasty burnt espresso at Peet's. Since I like to roast my own coffee beans, it's nice to have a selection of green coffee beans in town.

CPR is a genuine coffee house where the coffee matters and so do the customers. Friendly staff, a nice management front are big bonuses! In the end, what matters most is the bean and Phil Grant roasts an amazing bean, true artistry! Mike, the owner is really great and I think that CPR has a really great thing going.
