I appreciated the care I received today at your office! As someone who has shame and guilt around my teeth, I never felt judged regarding their current condition. My hygienist was knowledgeable and friendly, which helped me feel more relaxed as a new patient. The intern who did my cleaning was fabulous and there was never a time I felt uncomfortable while she was performing her duties. She was also personable and gave off a friendly energy, which I believe full heartedly is an inherent and crucial skill. I appreciated how I had a chance to speak with the office manager to discuss financial obligations after my cleaning while in her office. The office I was a patient of before would rush through the finances and I felt I didn’t have adequate time to give my voice to the conversation. Having a chance to sit down and digest finances was amazing and made the experience feel like a partnership rather than a transaction. Thank you so much and I look forward to my next visit!

Over the course of my life I have experienced many excavations performed on my neglected ivory (entirely my own fault). Your practice has been by far the most pleasant in atmosphere and treatment, whether a maintenance cleaning, or something more involved.

Gifford Family Dentistry provides professional, friendly, competent and caring treatment to the patient at every visit from check-in to check-out. The quality of the dental work is excellent, they do everything, including Netflix, to make a patient comfortable, and it's conveniently located with easy, ample parking. They go out of their way to accommodate the patient's needs and concerns, and the whole staff lets the patient know they appreciate their business. I highly recommend Gifford Family Dentistry.

Dr. Gifford is amazing, as is his entire staff. He really takes the time to make sure you are comfortable with what he’s doing, and why, and is gentle and thorough in his work. I’ve had anxiety about visiting the dentist my entire adult life, but Dr. Gifford and his staff has managed to redeem all of the brutal and painful dental work I’ve had and seen in the past (including a dentist that smacked my sister while she was in the chair when we were kids). I could never have imagined ever writing a good review for a dentist, but I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Gifford.

It was comfortable. The cleaning and Dental work was very fine. All we’re qualified and professional. The convenience is special for me because I live within walking distance. I was encouraged by the positive feedback. I do need to brush my teeth before the might’s sleep. I get up and snack. I don’t plan that. I am happy to receive anesthesia for fillings. If they are small and shallow, I won’t need it. Dr. Gifford and O can discuss that. I have had work done without anesthesia on the past and generally no problem. Thanks, I feel fortunate to have such a good team so close to my home. It’s no accident that me teeth are good. I did have braces when I was younger and value my teeth. Thanks again, Beth

New to Portland and Dr. Gifford came highly recommended. If you're near the Hillsdale area and looking for a dentist I encourage you to try his practice out. This is a major difference from my prior dentist in SF and better across the board, from quality and comfort to convenience and friendliness. Top notch in my opinion.

You may think this is odd, but maybe I am an odd-type, because I was/am favorably impressed with the dental hygienist that Dr. Gifford hired to be on his team. Miss Alyssa used both the traditional and the state-of-art techniques and gadgets and also she had/has the right touch that feels/felt good in my mouth. ... .... About Doc Gifford? I don't know yet because he postponed working on me until I first go to a a gum specialist and an oral surgeon. (I'm an old guy, so I have problems. ... . ... I was running late this morning to come in for my cleanin gb with Amanda. I apologized and was still greeted and went straight in for.my cleaning. All other times I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes. And Amanda is a sweetheart! And Dr Gifford is very kind. He helped me out when I first moved to SW Portland when I was having a dental emergency. He got me in right away.

2 reviews 5.0 star rating I was looking for a new dentist close to home as mine had retired and I needed a cleaning and crown repair. I found Dr. Gifford and his staff at a local trade show. They were very engaging and personable. My first visit for cleaning was amazing. The staff made me feel comfortable and welcome. They are very professional and great to interact with. I felt as if I had known them for several years. Dr. Gifford is very thorough, gentle, funny and explains each step of the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Gifford and his staff. I'm happy to have found them.

My visits were always comfortable and friendly. The staff remembers me and helps remind me of appointments. Dr. Gifford and his staff are super friendly and very professional. Lina was very helpful and able to help us in case of emergency appointment. The wonderful woman who cleaned my teeth, Alyssa, was so awesome!! She always did a great job. Dr Gifford and his staff provide excellent dental patient care. He is also very thoughtful and professional in answering questions regarding procedures, pointing out any potential problems and never pushing any treatment that is not necessary. His hygienist is wonderful. Not only does she do a great job but she also goes out of her way to assure patient comfort and create an atmosphere of ease. The support staff makes setting up,appointments easy and payment schedules as painless as possible. Some years ago I lost my longtime dentist and have been shopping around ever since. With Dr. Gifford I have finally found a dental practice I am comfortable with and plan to stay with for years to come.

All my experiences have been great! I am a redhead that has needed multiple novacaine injections before but Dr Gifford got me numb in just one! He is personable and professional. The staff are quite friendly and welcoming as well

The staff and hygienists are welcoming, and because they remember details about me and my family, they make me feel more like a member of their community than a client. Dr. Gifford went out of his way to help me address an intermittently sensitive tooth that was challenging to diagnose. I also love being able to watch Netflix during a cleaning or filling. Gifford Family Dentistry goes above and beyond to make me feel at home.
