Hale Pau Hana meets all the requirements for a perfect vacation. The location couldn't be better! Access to restaurants, groceries, sportswear, and water sports equipment are right across the street. The resort is beautifully maintained and coffee on the grounds weekday mornings is an added bonus. Units are nicely furnished, beautifully maintained and the kitchens are exceptionally well appointed for cooking. The common area grills are the cleanest I've ever seen and very accessible. We gave them a lot of use! Walking into the water wearing snorkeling equipment and swimming a short distance to coral reefs is a treat. No hassle and rewarded by swimming near giant turtles, a variety of tropical fish and abundant coral. I hope to return soon!

Enjoyed our stay at Hale Pau Hana , beautiful condo complex with great location, staff was very attentive, complex is well maintained with beautiful grounds right on the ocean, with no resort fees. Will definitely return here when visiting Maui .

My husband and I had a woderful time and we stayed on our usual unit 205. We got new bedding after just two days and loved the new bedspread as the bedroom looks way too dark and dreary for a tropical location - in our opinion anyway. We also had a new dishwasher installed as the old one gave out on us and Stan had to take one of the bathroom cabinets out as it had termites in it. No big deal, we had enugh space for our three week stay. We loved the personal at the HPH, everyone went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful stay there. We cannot wait to get back to our November crowd in 2016.

Best Beach access by far for the price, and you don't even know that the Beach is not private. Price was very reasonable, and staff was wonderful. We can't wait to go back again and again.

We had a wonderful stay at Hale Pau Hana!!! The accommodations were simple, comfortable and affordable, the customer service excellent The location is excellent, right on the beach with easy access. A choice of excellent restaurants are very accessible...just across the street, easily within walking distance with others just a short drive and all were easy to find! Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!!!

Beautiful property, perfect location, nice amenities, sweet beach, all add up to a great vacation, except if that is all it is, then you miss the most important element of the Maui vibe, and that is what you get from the people, and the connection, that makes a vacation either one that you enjoyed, or one that you will repeat again, and as often as possible. So, in the Hale Pau Hana case, it is all about the great girls in Guest Services: Eunise and Dar! They make the vibe that creates Maui magic. I depended on them for everything and their expert advice and insider knowledge coupled with their graciousness and warm smiles made the difference between just a great vacation, and one with real Maui friendship. The location was excellent and gorgeous. It has access to the best beach in Maui.It was very comfortable and the kitchen was excellent. I thought prices were excellent for Maui. You can't beat the price, comfort or location in Maui. Five star place with the comforts of home.

Best location, great, comfortable condo. On the beach, not across the street like so many others, convenient to everything within walking distance. Never even used our car! Lovely grounds and pool! Always stay there, 3rd time in 3 years!

Lets start with the location. Hale Pau Hana is steps away from a gorgeous beach. There is a small reef right off the shore that my husband and I snorkeled over. We got to see many types of fish, crabs, a sting ray and a sea turtle.more wildlife than we saw out on the Pride of Maui!! The condo we stayed in was gorgeous and had every utensil you could possibly need. We were on the 6th floor and had a wonderful view of the sunset. The staff at Hale Pau Hana were friendly and efficient. After a long morning out on a boat snorkeling all we wanted to do was get home and shower but we were out of clean towels. Called the office and they sent someone up within 5 minutes. We felt welcomed and lucky because we got to take part in a birthday luau for one of the guests/condo owners. So much fun! The price is completely reasonable for the location. We looked at hotels and would have paid double for the amount of space we got at Hale Pau Hana. Thank you so much for making our honeymoon so memorable! If I ever get back to maui I will for sure be staying at your resort again!

SINCE OUR 1ST STAY IN THE MID 90'S, WE HAVE NEVER LOOKED ELSEWHERE. HPH IS THE MOST RELAXING PLACE, WE HAVE STAYED 5 TIMES AND PLAN TO KEEP COMING! ITS HARD TO BELIEVE HPH IS 45 YEARS OLD.

This has been at least my 5th time at the HPH and every visit has been perfect. The condo and grounds are kept up beautifully and staff has always been accommodating. We can't wait to come again! The setting is amazing with the lush lawn, gorgeous sunsets, and ocean views with the palm trees swaying in the wind. We plan to spend a month there when we retire!

HPH was our selected site for anniversary/family reunion with 24 attendees. Site, location, facilities, staff and service were superior! Kamaole II beach is the best on Maui. Resort grounds are impeccable Managements attentiveness and desire to handle every matter for the benefit of the guests is especially noteworthy and shows the true Aloha Spirit.

The jewel in the crown. Spectacular view of the beach, fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, flat screen TV that even works with your Apple TV device. Sun hats and beach chairs were provided in the closet. The staff was amazing. We will definitely return.

My family and I spent four nights at Hale Pau Hana in June of 2014. The beach front property is amazing and the lawn area available for lounging was perfect. The beach is beautiful and great for snorkeling but make sure you go early in the morning as the wind kicks up around 11:00 a.m. Our unit (405) was beautiful and had everything we needed. The price was very reasonable. I do wish that the pool was open later than 8:00 p.m. and that the rules allowed for a little more fun. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if we get the change to visit Maui in the future.

Hale pau hana is perfectly located directly on the beach in a low key town. The quality/price rapport for this area is outstanding. The apartment was spacious and clean and the grounds were well cared for. The staff was helpful and courteous. We would definitely return.

We always love our time at Hale Pau Hana. the grounds have been kept up beautifully over the 20 yrs. we've been coming and it has a family, homey atmosphere. Over the years we've met some wonderful people and they've remained friends. The entire staff are caring, competent people and strive to make everyone's stay "the best". We appreciate you all! We have recommended HPH to others and they have enjoyed it as we have.

We had booked for 3 weeks in August 2013, the Hale Pau Hana for the first time (pair). It was a magical and wonderful stay at Hale Pau Hana! The direct views of the Pacific Ocean, the peaceful sound of waves, especially at night, swimming in the same sea, very friendly helpful staff of the house, relaxing and enjoyable holidayers, everything was very nice. Spacious apartments with a balcony facing the sea with full kitchen, 2 bathrooms (!) Television and DVD (which we have not used the way a second!) And free and super fast internet. Even during our stay we booked again for April 2014 for another 3 weeks! We love to come back again and again! Thrasy & Isabella MAHALO AND ALOHA .....

We have been coming to HPH for 31 years and are always so sorry to leave. Maui is Paradise and HPH adds so very much. The location near wonderful golf courses and restaurants makes the experience even better. The best aspect is the comfort, view and friendliness at HPH. We will be back asap.

I don't want to review on Tripadvisor, Yelp or any others because I think that the Hale Pau Hana is the best kept secret on the island of Maui. We love the location as it reminds us of a typical beach town with the benefits of snorkeling without having to leave our Condo. Also centrally located to everything we love about the island. If we want adventure we can easily drive out for the day and be back for an unforgettable sunset.

This was our third visit to Hale Paul Hana on the beautiful island of Maui and our favorite place to stay at. The condo we stayed in this year was just perfect, extremely clean and very tastefully decorated. There is great snorkeling, amazing sunsets, a perfect grass area just steps to a perfect and calm ocean. Kasper, the resort manager is a gem who always goes over and beyond the call of duty. Candace and the staff are always so accommodating and wonderful to work with. Hale Pau Hana is paradise and we can't wait to get back there!

We have been coming to Hale Pau Hanna for 27 years. It's location is perfect, right on the beach. One of the best things are the barbecues, It is wonderful to be barbecuing overlooking the ocean. The staff is very warm and friendly and knowledgable. You can choose to sunbathe on the beach or the beautiful lawn. We have gotten to know so many people by just being in the pool or around the barbecue. The price is very reasonable. The rooms are very comfortable and always updated.

Perfect location - easy to get anywhere and everything you need is either across the street or a short drive. I stayed in two different units on my trip - both were clean, well supplied and you cannot beat the beach here. All the staff are friendly and helpful.... I think this is a great deal and cannot wait to come back!

Fantastic place; we'll never stay anywhere else on Maui. Unit #24 is beautiful. Everything was perfect... comfortable bed; fresh ice in the freezer; immaculate condo; and very friendly staff! You can't get any closer to the beach. We counted 10 whales from our lanai on one of the days we were there and saw many turtles while snorkeling steps from the condo! I would only book through HPH Resort for the best deals though. Melissa is fantastic! There must be at least 15 restaurants within walking distance... Cafe O'Lei is one of our favorites. Can hardly wait to go back next year.

We had a fabulous time at Hale Pau Hana. Being able to select a specific room was very nice, and the room we selected was great, as good or better than we could have hoped. The grounds were very well kept, the other guests were very nice, and the beach and ocean were great too! Conveniently located to everything we needed. What a great place!

Another great visit and experience at HPH. With the economy picking up so is business at HPH. We were fortunate to get 2 weeks booked at the last minute, thank the staff for getting us in. Great weather, great location, whales still around in April!! Booked in advance for next year as the value for a location right on the beach cannot be beat. Thanks again to the staff for your friendliness, from the office staff to the maintenance staff to the housekeeping staff, job well done!

We just spent another wonderful, Spring Break in Maui and at the Hale Pau Hana. We did not think it was possible, but every time we come, we have a better time than before! Bringing my family to this resort was the best experience ever. Having brought 14 members from 2 years old to old was the perfect place. The accomodations for all 4 condo's were perfect. Just having everything so close was wonderful for the families. The pool and the beach so close were terrific for the youngsters. Having a laundramat on the premises was also fantastic. The front desk was sooo accommodating. Always a smile when you walked in to the office. Thanks to Melissa and Kas for being on top of everything. Their knowledge of the area and restaurants,etc were fanastic. I have booked again for next year. This will be my third time returning to the resort. It is by far my favorite place. I have been coming to the islands since the 60's. Thanks again Kas and Melissa for making my family and I have such a great experience. Mahalo

I hesitate to write this review only because once the “secret” is out that Hale Pau Hana is the foremost place to stay while on Maui, reservations will skyrocket and I may not be able to get the bookings I want! The location cannot be beat ... ocean as far as the eye can see with one of the world’s best beaches just steps from your lanai. Whales, dolphins and turtles, oh my! Shopping and great restaurants are well within walking distance. Over the years we have stayed in a number of the HPH units and each is well-appointed with everything you’ll need to prepare meals, pupus or just a great pot of Kona coffee. Kasper Rasmussen, the Resort Manager, will go to great lengths to ensure that your stay is more than enjoyable. Melissa and Celeste are treasures at the Front Desk, and their amazing Aloha spirit instantly rubs off on you. Rosita and her staff make certain that your unit is sparkling clean and well-stocked with towels and linens. We have been blessed to meet people from all over at HPH, many of whom have become good friends beyond the shores of Maui. Simply put, there is no other place we’d rather call “home”. Hale Pau Hana no ka oi!
