If you are looking for a spa like atmosphere and cutting edge technology... look no further than Dr. Koch. Wow, Dr. Koch's focus is on quality of care, not quantity of patients. He spent time with me on the initial consultation, going over my x-rays etc in the comfort of a cozy room rather than from the dentist chair. By the end of the second appt, I was presented with a detailed treatment plan with an itemized invoice.Please note, the prices are reasonable, but expensive. The staff is great.. very friendly and really spoiled me. Thanks for that! The location ideal, easy to access from all areas of Birmingham and beyond. The office is in a high end professional that has covered parking and sometimes a food truck outside. Dr. Koch offers Nitrous, Oral Sedation only, no IV Sedation. I usually use IV Sedation for root canals so I plan to trust him with the Oral if needed. I have been searching for a dental practice like this for a long time...so glad I found it.

I am a patient that suffers with a Jaw misalignment (greater than 3mm). As a result of this misalignment I suffered breaking 3 molars and damaged the majority of my teeth. After meeting with General Dentist, Oral Surgeons and Orthodontist I was presented with a combination therapy that would require one year of braces with four screws anchored in the top of my palette then have invasive jaw surgery that requires all four jawbones sawed away from the jaw joint then reassembled using plates and screws followed by braces again for another 2 to 3 years for aggressive torquing for jaw realignment. Then I met with Dr Koch and we discussed a non surgical option of realigning my bite by changing my bite plane by modifying my teeth. By capping my teeth and making adjustment to my temporary teeth he was able to monitor my jaw alignment improvements by making minor teeth adjustments over a period of several months. Once he was confident that my bite adjustments properly modified my jaw alignment we were able to move forward with implanting my permanent caps. I feel very fortunate that I was able to meet Dr Koch and that I had this non surgical , non orthodontia option available that not only repaired my jaw/bite alignment but also repaired all of the broken and damaged teeth. I highly recommend Dr Koch based on my dramatic alignment and cosmetic repair therapy.

Calming, relaxing caring and a feelng of knowing that I would be taken care of. Dr. Koch is a very caring and humble person and wants to make sure that the experience you have in his office is one of the best experiences that you will ever have. He goes out of his way to explain all the procedures and shows you what the outcome of his procedures will be by examples of what to expect and how things will look when everything is done. As a child, I was always afraid of the dentist and that fear came from a bad experience with another dental visit as child. My fear stayed with me, until adulthood. However, this wasn't ideal for my overall dental health. I was truly in a lot of pain as I began to search for a dentist, although I was still very fearful. I was on the internet when I ran across Koch Aesthetic Dentistry. As I reviewed the website I requested a consultation. I was contacted the very next morning and I was given a time to visit the office the exact same day. It was so amazing to visit the office, because it didn't seem like I was there to visit the dentist. From the time I entered the door, I was treated with great care and understanding. The staff and Dr. Koch was amazing! His first goal was to stop the pain for me, and then begin working on my problem areas. Dr. Koch made certain that I was calm and comfortable throughout all of my procedures. He told me everything that he was going to do and informed me every step of the way. As I continue to have dental work done, I've been very impressed with the quality of dental comfort, care, and the quality of my procedures. Although, I have a lot more dental work that needs to be completed, I will be using Koch Aesthetic Dentistry for all of my dental procedures. Sad to say, I hadn't been to a dentist office in years due to abnormal fears. I searched online particularly for a dentist offering conscious sedation. Dr. Koch's Dentistry did! I found his staff to be so down to earth, truly a precious group of ladies. Dr. Koch's way of explaining every aspect of my procedure eased my anxiety. This is a dentist who truly cares about people and does exceptional work! P.S. I would definitely recommend conscious sedation to those with fears like I have. It was an awesome, pain free experience! Yup, going to the dentist can now be awesome!

I sustained a traumatic head injury early one morning in April 2008 from a fall down the stairs in my home. I suffered many injuries to my face, head and mouth. One of the traumas being a fractured upper jaw (maxilla). The break in my jaw was above tooth #8; my right central incisor; aka - my front tooth...#8 was knocked out. The maxilla fracture required my jaw to be wired shut for 6 weeks. Since there was a significant loss of bone and tissue, #8 could not be replaced. At that time, I was a newly single mother of 4 children, from Alabama, missing my front tooth (not a pretty picture). Before my accident I had healthy, straight teeth and wore a smile with confidence. Losing my tooth, along with recovering from my other injuries, was traumatic. Dr. Koch was sensitive to the physical and emotional effects of my injuries. He took the time to educate me with options, offer a treatment plan, inform me of future problems that could arise from the loss of a tooth and gave me a realistic expectation of my goal...to replace #8, my front tooth. All of the injuries I sustained required different medical specialties. Within a 10 mile radius, I had a "team" of great doctors taking care of me; paramount in my reconstruction and recovery. This team of doctors normally work independent of one another yet they formed a coalition to repair my challenging injuries. Dr. Koch was an integral part of this team. Over the 18+ month restorative process, I became well aquatinted with Dr. Koch, and his staff. From the very first phone call until my restored smile was complete (and even now, 7 years later) I am grateful for Dr. Koch's expertise in cosmetic dentistry. If pictures could speak, the journey from the first images taken in the emergency room to the completed reconstruction photos, they would share a remarkable recovery story. Dr. Koch turned my frown upside down and the proof is in my smile today. I continue to see Dr. Koch for my dental cleanings because he and his staff (especially Yvette) are without a doubt the absolute best in the services they offer. They are thorough, professional and personal. Along with their attention to detail, are the reasons why Koch Aesthetic Dentistry is THE dental spa.

I have been a patient with Dr. Koch for about 5 years, and couldn't be happier with the care I receive at this dental office. The first best thing a person will notice is that the waiting room is never crowded. Each patient has their own appointment time, and this time is not shared with anyone else. The second best thing a person will notice is the willingness of the staff to go above and beyond to insure the patient's comfort, whether this means listening to music or the tv through headphones, relaxing under a warm blanket, or having a hand-softening wax treatment during a dental cleaning or procedure. My daughter started coming here when she was about 9 years old, and was made to feel so comfortable, she never wanted to go back to the pediatric dentist she had been seeing. She doesn't even get nervous before her appointments! The on-time personalized appointments and the staff are wonderful, and the third best thing is Dr. Koch. He is thorough, professional, spends ample time with each patient, and is passionate about oral health. Not just how a person's smile looks, which is important, but also the overall oral health of each patient. This is by far the best dental practice I have ever known. I am happily spoiled.

His professionalism, extraordinary skills and total commitment to his patients' oral health are truly remarkable. My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Koch for nearly 8 years. During that time, we have had the following services: veneers, implants, check ups, fillings, cleanings and general dentistry needs. We couldn't be happier with our results; that is a very strong statement coming from two perfectionists. Personality wise, Dr. Koch is a genuinely friendly, easy going and an enjoyable person to be around.
