The course was well organized and presented in a easy to follow format. The instructors focused on material that I can take back to my practice and incorporate. There were no hours long discussion on the pharmacology and every receptor in the human body. Providing adequate sedation in a simple and safe manner was the main focus of the course and I feel confident in providing this service in my practice. I enjoyed the class and would encourage any dentist interested in sedation to sign up.

In this day and age, time is valuable. John does a great job giving his students the essentials of what is needed for success in sedation dentistry. That paired with the clinical portion of the course that immediately follows the didactic portion, is the perfect combo for success. Thank you John and Betty for putting all this together. I will definitely be telling my colleagues to sign up.

I had an amazing experience with WSS. Dr. Wayland as well as the rest of the instructors were all very knowledgeable and helpful during the entire weekend. During the program, I was able to meet others with varying skill levels and it was a really great experience learning from one another. The quality of training is as good as it gets. There was one instructor per pair of dentists that stayed with us and helped us at all times when needed. In addition, Dr. Wayland also has a great quality loupe cam that he used to show us step by step exactly what, why, and how he was doing what he was doing. Another great bonus is receiving a hard copy of his book on impacted third molars. In this book as well as his lectures, he discusses many topics including proper case selection, complications, how to manage them, and many more. After attending Dr. Wayland's third molar impaction course, I can confidently say I've learned a lot and I'm ready to tackle some cases of my own!

This was a great investment that will continue with me throughout my career. Dr. Wayland is a an excellent clinician and breaks everything down into simple steps. The first day Dr.Wayland performs several surgeries which you can observe from direct vision or on any of the 4 monitors they had available(Video quality is excellent). Day 2 and 3 involved hands on training on patients that have been pre-screened and all cases were reviewed with other participators at the end of the day. Several Doctors at my course were able to take out 28 impacted wisdom teeth, that experience is invaluable. I highly recommend western surgical and sedation, don't miss you chance to learn from an experienced group on dentists that enjoy sharing their knowledge and pearls.

As my experiences with implant and oral surgery grew, i realized i need additional training in sedation to help me achieving good results with difficult cases. Western Surgical and Sedation has provided me with the knowledge and hands-on experience that will bring my practice to the next level. Great course! Highly recommended.

I finally took the three day 3rd Molar Extraction course last weekend and I am Very happy that I did! Although I did not sign up with enough time to obtain a California license to actually do the hands on, it was still very worth my time. Because the instructor to participant ratio was 1:2 it allowed me to see the various surgeries going on with direct vision. The pre op discussions were thorough and the instructor questions to the treating dentist throughout the surgery were directed, concise and provoked problem solving necessary to successfully complete the procedure in an efficient manner. The didactic aspect of the course was thorough and interesting. In three days I obtained 36 hours of continuing education and I went back to my office and completed a case in half the time that I had done at any time prior. Highly recommended!

Great course!! It is the best CE for third molar extractions available. Dr Wayland works really really hard to put it all together including personally arranging patients, confirming appointments, post op follow up. He is a great teacher, gifted surgeon, mentor to many, blessing to his patients. All faculty members are great and willing to help & share their own journey in the field. Dr Diercks is amazing also. The course is spot on!

First I want to say that I am very pleased and made the right decision to attend your training in impaction course on 2/2018. Before I signed up this training I was already registered with the oral surgery for general dentist at USC on the same date of this training, but after I research on google and found this training, and personally spoke to Dr. Wayland ( it is rarely to have instructor talk directly to you) and I felt the way Dr. Wayland talk is very nice, therefore I was immediately interested in this class. I also compared with others training that I found on line and read about Dr. Wayland history of practice and has tremendous experience in oral surgery therefore I wanted to learn from the best and I signed up for this training like a heart beat! After I signed up for this training, I was nervous and worried that I was not sure that I can do it at my office or not, but after 3 days straight and right to the point of training with lecture and live patients observing and treatment , I was able to overcome my fear and feel comfortable and confident in doing the 3rd molar impacted extraction in my very own office. All of this valuable training was due to Dr. Wayland and the doctors of WSS help me to achieve my goals. They’re very genuine to help and want you to succeed. This course was what I expected and Dr. Wayland has so much knowledge to give. I also learned a little bit of IV and oral sedation combined with the surgery. I really enjoyed the course and I think it’s the right course for dentists who wants to start doing surgical extractions and learning case selection is the first step!!
