I first used Zane’s because they were competitive in their pricing, and “straight-shooting” (unlike another local service that advertised a great price, but didn’t disclose that it was only for one month, and then the rates would rise). Stayed with them because they did a great job. The only glitches I had were early on, when the drivers weren’t used to my house on their route, but the the company has customer service support that is easy to reach and friendly, and they took care of the issue immediately! The few times when heavy snow or mechanical issues occurred and caused a short delay, they contact me (and all their customers) to let us know what was going on and when they would do a make-up stop. Can’t recommend them highly enough (did I mention EASY to reach support - a rarity these days!). Only stopping service because I’m moving away, and wish that they were in the state where we’re moving.

I recently moved to a neighborhood in Powhatan Va. I had been using the same Refuse service for over 20 years at my previous home. I tried on several occasions to contact them to set up service at my new address. I was not able to speak to a human. I also tried to contact several other big name companies to set up services. I figure if it’s this hard to set up an account to start service. How difficult will it be to get any issues resolved once I’m a customer? One call to Zan’s and within a few minutes Sara had me all set up! She was so polite and helpful. I understand in today’s world its easy for companies to send you to a portal or refer you to a website. I guess I’m a bit “old-school” I just want to speak to a human!!!! The customer service has been fantastic! Zan’s came highly recommended by multiple neighbors. Im looking forward to doing business with Zan’s. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE OTHER TRASHY COMPANIES!!! ;<)

I want to thank you all for the wonderful customer service that your company provides. My previous service would not pick-up my refuse with no notice or explanation as to why they were not coming. After several times my trash was not picked up, I finally decided to change and I’m so happy I did. If there are any issues with pickup, your company contacts your customers with an explanation and information as to when you will be able to pickup. I can’t thank you all enough for the excellent service. Thank you.

I have been a customer of Zan's Refuse since 2020. Since that time I have had a variety of life changes and have not always gotten my trash to the curb early enough for the scheduled trash pick up. The Zans truck that comes to my house noticed that my dumpster was not at the street, and, without being asked, adjusted the time of the day they came to my house to pick up my trash. This was completely unexpected, but such a kind thing for them to do. This impromptu change has made sure that my garbage gets picked up every week which is something I really appreciate! In addition, their customer service representatives have been cheerful, friendly, and able to quickly resolve any issues, if I have had them.

I am one of your long-term customers I very much appreciate the efforts put forward by your staff and your drivers. I live in a neighborhood where there are four different trash companies and none of them offer the professional courtesy of your drivers. I had an issue with the bill. I called the office and the very nice person corrected the problem and advise me of the future and that means a lot. I will definitely recommend your services to everyone I know. As well I will continue my services. I only have the pleasure of knowing William as he is my driver and I will tell you he is considered part of my family as he is extremely valued as one of my closest friends

My initial experience with Zan's demonstrated what customer service used to be and should be. Closing one account and transferring that service to me was handled professionally and quickly. I was assured, willingly and pleasantly, that my one concern would be addressed and certainly taken care of. All in all, a rare experience in today's world. Thank you.
