We have only lived in Georgia for two years and have few connections. So, when my husband entered hospice care, I had no idea where to go for cremation services. Looking on the internet was pretty confusing. Many of the businesses want you to sign up or join or pre-arrange. All I wanted was information. Thanks to a recommendation from my hospice nurse, I found Georgia Funeral Care. From the moment I logged onto their website and later spoke with Kevin Marcy, it was so easy to do. All arrangements were made by phone or internet. When my husband went into Hospice Atlanta Center, I called Kevin and he said "Don't worry. We will take care of everything." And indeed they did. Probably the highlight of this experience was picking up my husbands ashes in Acworth at Georgia Funeral Care. Kevin was not there but I met his son Reed, who I had spoken with several times. And I met Al, who had actually picked up my husband the night he died. These people are special in their care for those of us who need lots of help. The follow up with death certificates has been efficient. A good experience all around at a difficult time.

Losing a loved one is already a traumatic and emotional experience. But from our first introduction when Kevin and his son met my family in the middle of the night at hospice care to pick up my Mom after she passed, we were immediately put at ease. They were both understanding, kind and professional, and we left my Mom with them with a great sense of peace. Over the next few days they kindly followed up with us to make sure we were okay, clear on the process of cremation, and made sure that they did everything possible to make our planning as easy as possible. We found their pricing to be very reasonable and the service was impeccable. They definitely went over and beyond to be helpful to us in any way they could. This is a family owned business, and we felt like they took care of us as if we were family. I met Kevin's cousin when I picked up my Mom's ashes, and he couldn't have been kinder. From beginning to end, this is a family that cares. God bless you, and thanks for being there for us in our time of need.

The staff were very helpful and considerate especially during this time of need. I had a chance to work with Stephen on planning my father's funeral and he was extremely helpful. My sister, Lisa, passed in Marietta, Ga. While our father lives in the area, he was not able to handling things. I live in WA, and our mother in ND. From WA, I was able to get everything set up for my sister, via phone calls, to Kevin and Stephen. I knew what was happening, every step of the way. When I was able to visit their location, and during her services, they helped us tremendously. They were professional, and remarkably sympathetic and caring. They are also very reasonably priced. I handled the affairs for my brother, Bill. While Bill was still living, we visited Georgia Funeral Care and made all of the arrangements in advance. Everything was handled in a very professional and caring manner. We had a lot of questions and they were all answered very well. I especially appreciate the interface with the National Cemetery in arranging for the Marine Corps Honor Guard. During my grief it was such an encouragement to talk with Kevin and Stephen many times. As I was not in town they made me feel as if I had family there taking care of my Dad. As far as price and service there would be no other home I'd use. Their understanding was above and beyond what I ever expected.
