The office is super clean. The staff is very pleasant and approachable. Always had a comfortable experience. I am very sensitive to pain, yet all the procedures that I had were of minimal discomfort to painless. Dr. Carter's quality of care is excellent. The staff and Dr. Carter are very helpful in working with your own schedule. Very accomodating. I would highly recommend Maui Oral Surgery and Dr. Carter to take care of any dentistry needs.

The staff is always very professional and friendly. Everything is explained to me if I have any questions. Their new location in Kahului is very comfortable, more spread out. And the parking area is much better than their old location. Whenever I have an appointment, I am seen within about 15 minutes of my scheduled time.

From the phone call to get my appointment to seeing the Doctor it was a quality experience. Have a tooth extracted is not my idea of fun but the Doctor and staff answered all my questions and made it painless. The office is very comfortable and the views from the treatment room takes your mind off of the procedure. Location is easy to find.

Aloha, from check in to waiting room to medical tech (Jenny) introduction, my experience was a 10!!! Jenny was professional & prepared. She answered all my questions promptly & helped me feel at ease since I was nervous! Dr. Carter entered promptly! Walked through exactly what my procedures entailed, patiently listened to any of my concerns. I knew intuitively I was safe & in extremely competent hands. From start to finish in all levels my appointment was excellent!!! The very best after all this though was the follow up phone call (from Dr Carter) explaining biopsy results…who does this these days? Aloha, Maui Oral Surgeon Dr Carter in Kahului, and his office staff, are simply first class. They are kind, professional, the best at what they do, and the office is modern and medically state-of-the-art. I’m a 10 year resident on Maui, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I recently needed an implant and was amazed at the ease of having this procedure done by Dr Carter and his implant coordinator, Maggie. My kids have also had they’re wisdom teeth out with Dr Carter. We are very blessed to have him on island.

My experience was really good! Dr. Carter was extremely professional and the process itself felt very quick. I do not remember much due to being sedated, but the IV insertion was painless and quick which was relieving since I was the most nervous about that. My memory is very fuzzy after the extraction, but I remember there was a sweet lady who was caring after me and wheeling me in a wheelchair! Thank you to Dr. Carter and his amazing staff!

It seems like my journey with these fabulous Professionals has been a long one. Poor judgement and smoking cost me dearly with gum disease and the eventual loss of all of my teeth. I started with a simple plan to use implants and clip in dentures which seemed to work for the short term but eventually a full and permanent implanted denture was the best choice. With the guidance and expert care of Dr. Todd Carter and his assistant Maggie I was able to achieve this solution. The journey was complex due to bone loss and required more surgery to correct. I always felt very confident that I was in the right place. The team always had a plan ahead approach and although the procedures were not without some discomfort, my recovery was always positive. A very positive shout out to all of the support staff who treated me like family. I always felt comfortable with everyone at Maui Oral Surgery. I would not want to travel this road again and am very thankful my journey is coming to an end. If you have serious dental issues, I would highly recommend a consult and establish a good plan to correct your problems with this remarkable team of experts. The whole crew at Maui Oral Surgery are great folks to be around, but I have to single out Maggie and Dr Carter. Getting implants is no small thing and they really made me feel like they knew what they were doing and there was absolutely nothing to worry about. And that’s exactly how it turned out. Plus, they’re a lot of fun to be around and always in a good mood. You can leave a message for Maggie, and no question is a dumb one, and she will always get back to you. Fingers crossed I never need their expertise again, but if I do I know I’ll be in good hands.

Friendly, personal, and efficient staff from the time you schedule your appointment to the end of treatment is welcome and appreciated. Oral surgery went very well, as did pre and post surgery appointments. Dr. Carter called me at home the evening after surgery to see how I was doing. Dr. Carter and his staff were very professional, answered all my questions and were very pleasant and accommodating. All appointments were on time and when I sometimes arrived early, I was usually seen promptly. Office location was convenient with parking very close to the office. I would highly recommend Dr. Carter and his office.

Going to a dentist or dental surgeon is not something you look forward to, but if you have to go, the best possible situation is for you to trust your doctor's expertise and be made to feel like he has your best interest at heart. Dr. Carter, Maggie and the rest of the staff made my recent experience very comfortable. Since I had to get an implant, the whole process took months. There was very little pain or discomfort in my mouth, and only pain in my pocketbook for the part that the insurance didn't cover! Everything was explained and my questions answered. The most pleasant surprise was receiving a voicemail message from Dr. Carter the evening after the surgery. Who does that anymore? Terrific bedside manner by all the staff. Hoping I don't need any more implants, but if I do, definitely seeing Dr. Carter and recommending him to others.

Although I was expecting the work to get done earlier due to unforeseen circumstances, I was helped with upping each subsequent appointment by Maggie to fill in where patients cancelled and I appreciate that. I was made aware of the procedures as they occurred which made me feel safe. All of the workers and Dr. Carter are exceptional in their fields and I would highly recommend this office to anyone seeking dental work like implants!
