GREAT STAFF!!! Outstanding professionals, led by Dr Carter. Receptionists know patients by first name. Assistants are all very capable. Entire office is very patient-friendly. Have two experiences here with each experience requiring multiple visits, starting from initial visit to final check-up and clearance. Oral surgery is not something anyone seeks out but if you are in need of this kind of dental care, this is the place. I have seen three different dentists on two different islands. When they recommended oral surgery, Dr Carter was the name that all three mentioned. Thank you to Dr Carter and his staff for taking care of me, both times! Mahalo and Aloha!

My experience with Dr Carter has been a rebirth of being whole again ! He explained the process and procedure and comforted my fear ,automatically made me feel safe and secure ..His skillful hands and phenomenal knowledge of expertise is beyond measure and I am so grateful I found the best surgeon on Maui . Dr Carter and his team at Maui Oral Surgery took excellent care of me. I will always be grateful that they were there for me when I needed help. While I was very upset that I had to have oral surgery, I knew that I was in the best hands that I could possibly be in. I had 3 implants done at Dr. Carter's office and was impressed from start to finish by the courtesy and professionalism of the entire office . Each step of the process was concisely and clearly explained and the surgery itself was executed with a minimum of discomfort. I was especially pleased with the follow-up post surgery. I am totally pleased with the expertise of Dr. Carter and the competency and friendliness of his staff. I most highly recommend him to anyone who needs dental surgery. My dental procedures included a tooth removal, gum and bone repair, and then implant insertion so I became familiar with Dr. Carter and his surgical skills.

I am so happy that I went to see Dr. Carter! He was able to take care of something that other oral surgeons had not been able to. There had been an ongoing infection from failed dental implants that two other doctors could not heal. Dr. Carter cured the infection and then he did the follow up necessary bone grafts to repair the bone that the infection had damaged. He then completed the work with successful dental implants. He and the people in his office are wonderful. I've already recommended a friend of the family to him, and they were able to fit him into their schedule. Thank you for everything, Dr. Carter. It's nice to know you are there if ever I need any more oral surgery!

I had a dental implant performed by Dr. Carter. Prior to surgery, he explained the procedure he would perform. Dr. Carter quickly and efficiently performed implant surgery with a follow-up appointment to ensure that the implant was successful. The implant healed nicely. Dr. Carter's staff were especially kind and cordial in their interactions with me. Mahalo for the great work!

I found all of the above to be in place with Dr Carter and his staff. Today I had an appointment and because I misjudge the traffic, I arrived half hour early. They greeted me, I had a seat and they called me within 15 mins even though I was early. I was in and out in less than 30 mins. Dr Carter cleared me to start having the teeth made and on to that adventure...soon, I hope. I give the Dr, assistant Maggie, and everyone a plus AAAA and a hearty thumbs up. The quality of care I received was at all times, exceptional. Any concerns I had about the amount of pain the procedures would have, were answered truthfully and the proper amount of pain medication was dispensed to alleviate any discomfort I experienced. My procedures were handled in a way that was convenient to my special need. I had rotator cuff surgery and appointment times were worked in for my convenience. I'm very happy with the care I received from Dr. Carter and his very able staff. I highly recommend Maui Oral surgery.

I don't know anyone who actually looks forward to dental work, but this was a very unique experience. My significant anxiety was quickly dispelled by the professional treatment I received. In addition, the quality of care extended beyond technical expertise, and included friendly assistance and very clear follow up instructions. I feel fortunate that this level of care is available to me. The only thing that could be more convenient is if you moved your practice to South Maui!

Great staff and experienced Dr.'s. They run efficiently and on time and are always pleasant to deal with. Should of went there the first time! Don't go to Mexico or Bali to save money.......or you will end up paying more in the long run to re-do! Not all surgeons are created equal. Hard lesson learned.

Professional office staff. Clear and concise on making sure that I had all the information needed. Good follow-up and reminders. Was always made to feel comfortable during each of my visits. No complaints.

Dr. Carter takes a personal interest in his patients. I've had 2 surgeries done and he always calls that night to make sure I'm okay. He is an excellent oral surgeon and my procedures have gone very well. I highly recommend him! Maggie and Pat (his assistants) take good care of me as well!

Dr. Carter is an excellent oral surgeon. Tooth extraction and implant preparation went very smoothly in a relaxed atmosphere. The procedure was thoroughly explained and each session involved minimum discomfort and went according to the plan. Their office coordinated with the other dentists involved in the total implant process. My unique scheduling were easily accommodated. Maggie, the coordinator, stayed in contact with me before and after the appointments and, after consulting with Dr. Carter, promptly provided answers to my concerns, ranging from drug interactions to follow up care. Top notch.

Dr Carter was efficient and was done in a short amount of time. He used local anesthesia and I was quite amazed at how fast the surgery progressed. I had the normal amount of tension due to all the gadgets in my mouth, but no "shocking" surprises. I was a lot more comfortable than I had anticipated. Dr Carter and Maggie were great at explaining the process and creating a relaxed atmosphere. I was even given the parts to take onto my dentist to speed up the last part of the process....

I just want to start off by saying I had the most pleasant experience EVER at Maui Oral Surgery. I am terrified to say the least of needles and any dental work. They fit me in for my wisdom tooth extraction. I showed up crying and beyond nervous- Pat brought me back for X-rays ( while crying) and she asked and made sure I was okay- then brought back for procedure and Dr. Carter came into room. He explained what he was going to do prior to doing and I did not even feel the two needles he gave me or the extraction. I HIGHLY reccomend anyone to go here. From the receptionist to assistant Pat and Dr. Carter- everyone was very professional and made you feel comfortable throughout the entire experience.

Really good experience with Dr. Carter and Maggie. All went well. I was always surprised at how quickly procedures went with little discomfort. Have had implant and extraction.

I have had several procedures done over the last few years including implants ,bone grafts and extractions. I always feel very comfortable and confident with each visit. Dr. Carter is very skilled and his office and equipment are very up to date. He uses a team approach along with his assistant Maggie that makes me feel like I can always contact them with questions.. Two years ago I had to have a tooth pulled and it was a very painful experience that required two surgeries and went on for four months. I have severe vertigo and can not lie flat on my back. This was my first visit to Dr. Carter's office and I was nervous. His front office staff were pleasant and welcoming. When I explained my vertigo situation to Dr. Carter, he did not laugh or get frustrated with this old lady. He listened, asked the right questions and came up with a solution that really worked. His assistant, Pat, was caring and anticipated my ever need during the extraction process. I am very grateful that Dr. Carter was recommended to me by a friend. All too often we see reviews for poor service or some other unhappy experience. Not often enough do we take the time to leave a review praising an establishment for excellent service. I got to thinking about this after I had a tooth extracted and got a titanium implant at Maui Oral Surgery. The attention that I received was nothing less than outstanding. Dr. Todd Carter and his office staff are very friendly, educational, and caring. One of Dr. Carter's very knowledgeable assistants (Maggy) and Dr. Carter explained everything in detail about the procedures that I needed, what to expect later, care for the extraction site, and the next steps for the implant. They answered all of my questions in a very friendly manner. I felt very well informed on every step of the pre-surgery, post-surgery, and the surgery itself. By the way, I would like to mention that Dr. Carter’s office has a start-of-the-art i-CAT 3D digital imaging system designed to provide rapid 180 degree high definition scans of your mouth, teeth, and jaw. I was told by Maggy that the data gathered by this imaging system are used by Dr. Carter to evaluate the amount and quality of bone available for implant placement, and determine in advance whether any advanced bone grafting techniques may be required. Nice! So, how did it go? Well, Dr. Carter successfully removed my painful tooth with the failed root canal, and he installed a titanium implant after waiting a few months for the tooth extraction to thoroughly heal. After the procedures, they provided me with detailed discharge instructions that were clear and easy to understand. They also gave me all the supplies that I needed. As if all this was not enough to really make me feel like I was being taken care of, Dr. Carter took the time to personally call me that evening just to make sure I was OK. He really cares about his patients... I would highly recommend Dr. Carter to anyone who needs oral surgery and/or dental implants. Thank you for providing excellent treatment and service to me.

My experience with Maui Oral Surgery was world class in all respects. My procedure included two extractions and three implants. Dr. Carter was very kind with his patience and explanations regarding the procedure. He was responsive to followup questions even though he had begun his scheduled vacation. The procedure was a total success and I completed my post procedure examinations on June 30, 2016. I found all of Dr. Carter's staff to be professional, responsive and helpful. Most everyone is apprehensive about dental surgery. I felt Maui Oral Surgery was a compassionate partner with me. I recommend Dr. Carter and his staff to anyone in need of dental surgery.

The quality of care, comfort, and excellence were great. Dr. Carter and his assistant nurse were professional. My surgery went very well and I only had to take one of the prescribed pain medication. The follow up visit also went very well.
