I just want to start off by saying I had the most pleasant experience EVER at Maui Oral Surgery. I am terrified to say the least of needles and any dental work. They fit me in for my wisdom tooth extraction. I showed up crying and beyond nervous- Pat brought me back for X-rays ( while crying) and she asked and made sure I was okay- then brought back for procedure and Dr. Carter came into room. He explained what he was going to do prior to doing and I did not even feel the two needles he gave me or the extraction. I HIGHLY reccomend anyone to go here. From the receptionist to assistant Pat and Dr. Carter- everyone was very professional and made you feel comfortable throughout the entire experience.

I don't know the correct words nor am I sure the words even exist, to explain the gratitude I feel for Dr. Todd Carter and his wonderful staff for the experience of having my Dental Implants done by Dr. Carter. He made sure I knew exactly what to expect every step of the way and the finished product is nothing short of phenomenal. I still can't stop looking at my reflection and it's been a month since the final inplants were put. Dr. Carter even called the evening after the surgery to see how I was doing and I was fine. And I might add, at no time was I ever, not ever in any pain. Dr. Cater is a wonderful man with a great personality, but make no mistake, when he starts to work he totally focused on his patient. I will know how to thank him and his incredible staff for all their hard work and expertise. Thank you again Dr. Carter

The care of the staff was so comforting and made me feel very comfortable knowing that I was putting my safety with them having a procedure that was very frightening for me. Especially being alone. I would highly reccomend them and "yes", the oral surgeon was very upbeat and positive.

I have had several procedures done over the last few years including implants ,bone grafts and extractions. I always feel very comfortable and confident with each visit. Dr. Carter is very skilled and his office and equipment are very up to date. He uses a team approach along with his assistant Maggie that makes me feel like I can always contact them with questions.. Have had many, likely to many experiences with dentists leading me now to implant surgery. Having grown skeptical of this industry, I wholeheartedly recommend Maui Oral Surgery. The office was up to date and the attention paid to my needs were better then I've ever experienced. Had health issues related to infections from previous work on my teeth. These have been resolved and my energy level has returned to what I feel it should be, which is a dramatic change. The doctors and staff were in great shape both emotionally and physically which is not as common as one might hope for, yet in my humble opinion is more then helpful in preforming with excellence. Two years ago I had to have a tooth pulled and it was a very painful experience that required two surgeries and went on for four months. I have severe vertigo and can not lie flat on my back. This was my first visit to Dr. Carter's office and I was nervous. His front office staff were pleasant and welcoming. When I explained my vertigo situation to Dr. Carter, he did not laugh or get frustrated with this old lady. He listened, asked the right questions and came up with a solution that really worked. His assistant, Pat, was caring and anticipated my ever need during the extraction process. I am very grateful that Dr. Carter was recommended to me by a friend. All too often we see reviews for poor service or some other unhappy experience. Not often enough do we take the time to leave a review praising an establishment for excellent service. I got to thinking about this after I had a tooth extracted and got a titanium implant at Maui Oral Surgery. The attention that I received was nothing less than outstanding. Dr. Todd Carter and his office staff are very friendly, educational, and caring. One of Dr. Carter's very knowledgeable assistants (Maggy) and Dr. Carter explained everything in detail about the procedures that I needed, what to expect later, care for the extraction site, and the next steps for the implant. They answered all of my questions in a very friendly manner. I felt very well informed on every step of the pre-surgery, post-surgery, and the surgery itself. By the way, I would like to mention that Dr. Carter’s office has a start-of-the-art i-CAT 3D digital imaging system designed to provide rapid 180 degree high definition scans of your mouth, teeth, and jaw. I was told by Maggy that the data gathered by this imaging system are used by Dr. Carter to evaluate the amount and quality of bone available for implant placement, and determine in advance whether any advanced bone grafting techniques may be required. Nice! So, how did it go? Well, Dr. Carter successfully removed my painful tooth with the failed root canal, and he installed a titanium implant after waiting a few months for the tooth extraction to thoroughly heal. After the procedures, they provided me with detailed discharge instructions that were clear and easy to understand. They also gave me all the supplies that I needed. As if all this was not enough to really make me feel like I was being taken care of, Dr. Carter took the time to personally call me that evening just to make sure I was OK. He really cares about his patients... I would highly recommend Dr. Carter to anyone who needs oral surgery and/or dental implants. Thank you for providing excellent treatment and service to me.

My experience with Maui Oral Surgery was world class in all respects. My procedure included two extractions and three implants. Dr. Carter was very kind with his patience and explanations regarding the procedure. He was responsive to followup questions even though he had begun his scheduled vacation. The procedure was a total success and I completed my post procedure examinations on June 30, 2016. I found all of Dr. Carter's staff to be professional, responsive and helpful. Most everyone is apprehensive about dental surgery. I felt Maui Oral Surgery was a compassionate partner with me. I recommend Dr. Carter and his staff to anyone in need of dental surgery.

Being my first experience with oral surgery, and I was anxious and fearful, to put it mildly. But after meeting Dr. Carter and his staff, that all changed. The procedure was quick and the healing process went by fast! It doesn't feel like I've gotten an implant! In a week I will get my crown and I can't wait to rock my new tooth! If you're thinking about doing an implant please visit Dr. Carter and his friendly staff! They will make you feel comfortable before, during and after the procedure. I have now had several implants done by Dr. Carter and his knowledge and caring manner places him at the top of my list as the best dental experience I have ever had. He takes the time to explain everything carefully so you always understand what is going to happen and he tells you truthfully what is best for your situation. In my last situation I had a problem with the implant. My bones in that area just did not heal properly and he took the time to redo it because he really cares about the outcome of every implant he does. I would highly recommend him to anyone facing an implant.

I went to Maui Oral Surgery for an implant after a prior implant placement in Los Angeles failed so I knew what to expect. First, they keep appointments on time and are professional. The procedure performed by Dr. Carter went well and I did not experience pain during or afterwards but was prepared by the post-op instructions just in case. Best of all the implant was a success and after a few follow up checkups I'm on to having my crown made! So I'm happy with the experience and cost was similar to my prior procedure.

It took me years to make my appointment for much needed implants because I was dreading the pain. I was a nervous wreck. I got in there and Maggie was super supportive and comforting and Dr Carter was very assuring. Dr Carter is truly a wonderful surgeon. I am a very sensitive person and I told him to take good care of me and he did. I have a new implant to smile about. It was very hard for me to make the decision to get an implant, but once I did I knew Dr Carter was the one to do so. His assistant Maggie is awesome. She is the mother bear that one needs to make you feel at home and safe. I am very happy with their work. Definitely 2 thumbs up!!!

I do not like anything to do with needles, drills, etc. so I wasn't looking forward to the whole implant process. But I had such a great experience with Dr Carter's office. The prospect of having implants seemed at first to be very worrisome! I had two teeth in need of replacement and was very anxious about the surgery where one included a sinus lift. My motivation to have these implants was heightened by the fact that they were both on one side and were affecting eating significantly. I must admit that everything went very, very well and to date have not had the slightest concern or problem. Dr. Carter is very good and his staff is excellent. I am very particular about my health care providers and would not hesitate to have Dr. Carter perform any type of oral surgery. Maui generally has, in my opinion, poor quality medical providers but Dr. Carter is the exception. I highly recommend his work!
