Going to a dentist or dental surgeon is not something you look forward to, but if you have to go, the best possible situation is for you to trust your doctor's expertise and be made to feel like he has your best interest at heart. Dr. Carter, Maggie and the rest of the staff made my recent experience very comfortable. Since I had to get an implant, the whole process took months. There was very little pain or discomfort in my mouth, and only pain in my pocketbook for the part that the insurance didn't cover! Everything was explained and my questions answered. The most pleasant surprise was receiving a voicemail message from Dr. Carter the evening after the surgery. Who does that anymore? Terrific bedside manner by all the staff. Hoping I don't need any more implants, but if I do, definitely seeing Dr. Carter and recommending him to others.

I saw Dr. Carter for a dental problem that has led to an implant. My treatment during this process was fantastic. The office is modern, the staff caring and skilled and Dr. Carter is excellent at his craft. I highly recommend Maui Oral Surgery for anyone needing top notch care.

Although I was expecting the work to get done earlier due to unforeseen circumstances, I was helped with upping each subsequent appointment by Maggie to fill in where patients cancelled and I appreciate that. I was made aware of the procedures as they occurred which made me feel safe. All of the workers and Dr. Carter are exceptional in their fields and I would highly recommend this office to anyone seeking dental work like implants!

GREAT STAFF!!! Outstanding professionals, led by Dr Carter. Receptionists know patients by first name. Assistants are all very capable. Entire office is very patient-friendly. Have two experiences here with each experience requiring multiple visits, starting from initial visit to final check-up and clearance. Oral surgery is not something anyone seeks out but if you are in need of this kind of dental care, this is the place. I have seen three different dentists on two different islands. I am totally pleased with the expertise of Dr. Carter and the competency and friendliness of his staff. I most highly recommend him to anyone who needs dental surgery. My dental procedures included a tooth removal, gum and bone repair, and then implant insertion so I became familiar with Dr. Carter and his surgical skills.

I am so happy that I went to see Dr. Carter! He was able to take care of something that other oral surgeons had not been able to. There had been an ongoing infection from failed dental implants that two other doctors could not heal. Dr. Carter cured the infection and then he did the follow up necessary bone grafts to repair the bone that the infection had damaged. He then completed the work with successful dental implants. He and the people in his office are wonderful. I've already recommended a friend of the family to him, and they were able to fit him into their schedule. Thank you for everything, Dr. Carter. It's nice to know you are there if ever I need any more oral surgery!

I had a dental implant performed by Dr. Carter. Prior to surgery, he explained the procedure he would perform. Dr. Carter quickly and efficiently performed implant surgery with a follow-up appointment to ensure that the implant was successful. The implant healed nicely. Dr. Carter's staff were especially kind and cordial in their interactions with me. Mahalo for the great work!

I found all of the above to be in place with Dr Carter and his staff. Today I had an appointment and because I misjudge the traffic, I arrived half hour early. They greeted me, I had a seat and they called me within 15 mins even though I was early. I was in and out in less than 30 mins. Dr Carter cleared me to start having the teeth made and on to that adventure...soon, I hope. I give the Dr, assistant Maggie, and everyone a plus AAAA and a hearty thumbs up. The quality of care I received was at all times, exceptional. Any concerns I had about the amount of pain the procedures would have, were answered truthfully and the proper amount of pain medication was dispensed to alleviate any discomfort I experienced. My procedures were handled in a way that was convenient to my special need. I had rotator cuff surgery and appointment times were worked in for my convenience. I'm very happy with the care I received from Dr. Carter and his very able staff. I highly recommend Maui Oral surgery.

I don't know anyone who actually looks forward to dental work, but this was a very unique experience. My significant anxiety was quickly dispelled by the professional treatment I received. In addition, the quality of care extended beyond technical expertise, and included friendly assistance and very clear follow up instructions. I feel fortunate that this level of care is available to me. The only thing that could be more convenient is if you moved your practice to South Maui!

Great staff and experienced Dr.'s. They run efficiently and on time and are always pleasant to deal with. Should of went there the first time! Don't go to Mexico or Bali to save money.......or you will end up paying more in the long run to re-do! Not all surgeons are created equal. Hard lesson learned.

Professional office staff. Clear and concise on making sure that I had all the information needed. Good follow-up and reminders. Was always made to feel comfortable during each of my visits. No complaints.

Dr. Carter takes a personal interest in his patients. I've had 2 surgeries done and he always calls that night to make sure I'm okay. He is an excellent oral surgeon and my procedures have gone very well. I highly recommend him! Maggie and Pat (his assistants) take good care of me as well!

Dr. Carter is an excellent oral surgeon. Tooth extraction and implant preparation went very smoothly in a relaxed atmosphere. The procedure was thoroughly explained and each session involved minimum discomfort and went according to the plan. Their office coordinated with the other dentists involved in the total implant process. My unique scheduling were easily accommodated. Maggie, the coordinator, stayed in contact with me before and after the appointments and, after consulting with Dr. Carter, promptly provided answers to my concerns, ranging from drug interactions to follow up care. Top notch.

Dr Carter was efficient and was done in a short amount of time. He used local anesthesia and I was quite amazed at how fast the surgery progressed. I had the normal amount of tension due to all the gadgets in my mouth, but no "shocking" surprises. I was a lot more comfortable than I had anticipated. Dr Carter and Maggie were great at explaining the process and creating a relaxed atmosphere. I was even given the parts to take onto my dentist to speed up the last part of the process....
