The whole experience with New York Auto School was pleasant, easy, efficient and effective. Signing up was very easy. Communication was clear. Facility for the class was very nice and easy to access. Our instructor Richie, was very personable and efficient. The information was interesting and presented efficiently and effectively. I feel very prepared for my driver's test. Very pleasant experience all the way around.

In nutshell: NewYork Auto school is Exceptional, Professional, Supportive Driving school that helped me, -a 30 years old brand new driver- to get my license at first try! In mid July- After searching sometime in the Bronx for a decent driving school , I almost made commitment to a school here, and then I realized how unprofessional that school is (where the so called instructors yell at you when you are trying to schedule your first lesson!?!) I decided not to settle and to look further for a legitimate, professional and established school close to my home and with my husband we came across online New York Auto school at Eastchester. They have a very nice, informative website and all their packages, prices are listed online , very legitimate and professional. The price was a bit more steep than I imagined to pay for; I took 10lesson package with road test companion , for 895$; but I justified this to myself that this is an important investment that I will be making for my future and hoping to have a pleasant learning experience. So there was NO way I was going back to this unprofessional school in the Bronx just because it was cheaper... I purchase the package online and then talked over the phone with Stephanie - she was very helpful to book all my driving lessons. as I am located in the Bronx, they told me they can only offer 2hour lessons which worked great for me. My first lesson was with Bruce and he did a great job introducing me to the car, gave me confidence by reassuring me that I am starting out great. The next 4lessons my instructor was Joe- and he is an excellent instructor. He has extensive driving experience and he conveys everything he wants you to learn in a calm, kind and also firm way. He always warned me timely and corrected my mistakes over and over again. I believe he really gave me excellent, safe and defensive driving skills and I am thankful to Joe. Apart from 10 lessons I took, I practiced like a mad person with my husband, utilizing my permit to the fullest extend before I took the road test. I believe Aside from 10hour lesson, now I have 40+ hours of driving on real road, night and day(except highways) under my belt. And Today I went to take my road-test with Joe and I am elated to say that I PASSED, you can imagine how happy I am and how thankful to Joe and the NewYork Auto School. They took care of all logistics with road test scheduling, (at New Rochelle) , taking me to the road test area and back. another great thing that they do : they sent text and email reminders before all appointments, so there is really no way for you to miss an appointment. This also shows how this business is run: very professional. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the service quality of NewYork Auto school at Eastchester location. They deserve the fee that they charge fully. They are really professional, organized and created a great learning experience for me, in the end I am licensed right now!!! I have to admit that The five hour course was a bit boring but even for that the instructor was able to make it very informative somehow. I will recommend this driving to school to anyone, especially new and nervous drivers. You will definitely get what you pay for and get your license with them super fast, if you work hard.

Mario was a great instructor! He was calm, patient and very detailed in his explanations of the rules of the road. I passed the driving test because of the lessons I took from him.

I was an experienced foreign driver/rider taking my first US road tests. During my pre-test lessons in both car and motocycle David was steady and patient, running through all the necessary maneuvres step by step. He took the time to explain all the finer points of any actions that I needed to brush up on. We repeated each exercise until I both understood and could execute them all in the correct American manner. Clearl, he knew all the Testers personally, having instructed in the area for many years, as each of them give him a wave. Most important of all, I passed both tests, and David's easy manner made the whole process as close to pleasure as I think it could be. Thanks, David !

Richard was an incredible instructor. He was incredibly knowledgable and engaging and very patient and kind. I learned so much and the class flew by. Honestly one of the best teachers I've ever had.

My instructor Mario was amazing. He taught me all the necessary information about the road exam and those were really useful. And he is a supportive and very professional instructor. My pre licensing instructor was Richard Arzeno. He was absolutely amazing. I took a 5 hour course once before but unfortunately I moved away, forgot all about it and let it expire. My first pre licensing course was from Canandaigua driving school Upstate NY. It was a waste of time as the instructor was extremely rude and clearly didn’t care. He just showed us video after senseless video. Richard was different. He actually took the time to draw things on a white board & explain exactly what he meant, he encouraged us to ask questions no matter how silly we may think it is and most importantly the 5 hrs didn’t drag by. I found that the whole time I was truly learning things that would help me on my road test and he would occasionally crack a joke to keep us focused! After taking this course I genuinely feel way more confident and informed on what I will be doing during my road test and what I should be doing, He basically went over every and any possible scenario. Thank you so much Richard for being so knowledgeable, kind & informative!
