I am happy to concur with all of the praise about Dr. Grin's superb professionalism as a physician and about his office staff's kindness and attention to detail. Other doctors need to learn from this practice! With utmost patience, compassion, and follow through, Dr. Grin makes me feel like his only patient because of his astute scheduling. On my dentist's recommendation, I saw Dr. Grin for what I thought was TMJ, but he quickly diagnosed something much more serious, a rare, autoimmune disease called temporal arteritis. This is an inflammation/narrowing of blood vessels in the arteries of the head, neck,& upper body; mine was centered in my head, and as a result,the headaches were an 8/9 for a couple of weeks. Although I saw several "specialists," it was Dr. Grin who literally saved my eyesight and perhaps my life. He referred me to a wonderful rheumatologist, and remains a key player on my medical team. We are all very fortunate that a specialist of Dr. Grin's caliber is in the South Bay. He is masterful in his examinations, bedside manner, and knowledge. Thank you, Dr. Grin

Dr. Grin is the most loving and caring Doctor I have ever had. He is very gentle, warm, and patient. His office is super clean and organized. His two nursing staff are always friendly, helpful . They always makes me feel relaxed, respected, and valued. Thanks everybody.

Dr Grin is the best! I have suffered from chronic headaches for a few years now daily headaches that where so intense they where destroying my life. Dr Grin was able to properly diagnose the causes and prescribe proper meds and treatment. One month later and for the first time I am headache free. This guy is the best seriously. Gave me my life back and he and his staff are so nice and understanding. I would highly recommend anyone who suffers from TMJ or cluster headaches to go seem him at once.

Dr. Grin has been a literal life saver! He and his whole office staff have been compassionate, professional and flexible in helping my 83 year old mother in law deal with her extremely painful TMJ that developed a year and a half ago. Dr. Grin has been so caring and listens to her carefully and helps guide us in her treatments. His office has been great in working through insurance for all her appliances and medications. We drive from far to see Dr. Grin, but he is totally worth the drive. Once there we park easily and are greeted by caring and compassionate staff. We have never been in the waiting room long and they only schedule one patient at a time. After a short wait time, we see the doctor and Dr. Grin listens and makes recommendations. He keeps good notes and follows up on every detail. Prior to seeing Dr. Grin she had been to so many doctors and dentists and NOTHING helped. Now she is getting relief for blocks of time each day - but we are still persevering! Dr. Grin has never said - well - this is the best I can do. Instead, he continues to recommend other medical professionals, treatment exercises, and medications. He gives hope of a good quality of life again! At a time when health care has become a cattle system, Dr. Grin is a tender shepherd with a gentle "Staff" who provides excellent care as we graze (:

After coming back after one year with Dr. Grin I am feeling great and pain free!!! If you suffer from TMJ you HAVE to see him!! Staff is also super friendly and never have to deal with a wait time. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Grin and his wonderful staff has helped my family immensely. We were told my daughter would need 9 months of invasive treatment for TMJ and he was able to get her completely pain free without any invasive treatments in 1 month. After our initial appointment for my daughter, I was so impressed I booked an appointment for myself. I have had chronic migraines for years and have seen numerous neurologists. I had truly given up. I have some level of pain, daily, for years. My life revolved around how bad it was that day, not around enjoying life. I have had only 3 visits with Dr. Grin and am now going weeks without any pain at all. Dr. Grin is a very special doctor, and the kind of doctor everyone hopes for! He is very kind, and takes the time to spend it with you, in figuring out how he can best help you! I have just started my treatment with Dr. Grin and have been happy with the results so far! I was very pleased with the non-invasive approach, as this is something I certainly wanted to avoid. I am already experiencing relief from my TMD and am looking forward to progressing. Dr. Grin takes time to explain his approach, discuss the issues I have, addresses my questions, and his office staff is the best I have ever worked with (hands down)! Appointments always start on time, and I never feel rushed. Woudl highly recommend seeing him if you have TMJ/TMD.

Thank God for Dr Grin!! After a year and a half of misdiagnosis, he was able to find the root of my pain. My first time that I spent more than an hour with a Doctor getting to know my concerns I came in with a level of pain of 8+ and I am now on a almost zero, ! Very professional Dr, and staff. I was nervous at first, but relaxed shortly after. Once you get to know Dr Grin, you understand his approach and he will find a solution for your aches and pain.

We began treatment with Dr. Grin for my daughter who was experiencing migraines and jaw pain. Additionally, she had minimal range of motion with her jaw and was unable to open her mouth, making eating difficult. Dr. Grin is very thorough and methodical in his diagnostic techniques. After our initial visit, using the exercises and techniques he prescribed, relief was immediate. In combination with the specialized appliances that he developed for night use and sports use, the symptoms are now minimal. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Grin. As I mentioned, he is thorough and methodical, yet he is also caring and compassionate. He respects our appointment times; I was never left waiting while he concluded another patient's appointment. He always gave us his full and undivided attention. I never felt rushed or hurried; all of my - and my daughter's - questions and concerns were addressed. Equally important is that Dr. Grin addressed my daughter herself. Often adults speak to the parent and not the child, even when it is the child who is the patient. But not Dr. Grin. He spoke directly to my daughter and was respectful of her. Furthermore, his front office staff are friendly, professional, and efficient. Billing is accurate and timely. I cannot emphasize enough how pleased I am with Dr. Grin. He is exceptional.

Dr. Grin and his staff are great! I had ongoing jaw pain and he evaluated and thoroughly explained what was going on. We began treatment and after a couple visits my pain is almost 100% gone. Very thankful to have found Dr. Grin.

I was referred to Dr. Grin by friends for what turned our to be face pain caused by trigeminal neuralgia. I found him to be very thorough in his diagnosis and treatment. The pain that had caused me many sleepless hours was soon under control with excellent follow up plans in place. Appointments were handled in a timely manner with telephone access for follow up questions.

He painstakingly examined me and carefully fit me with a new device for my sleep apnea. He always kept sight of my jaw issue. He is very thorough and leaves no stone unturned. He takes a lot of time to explain what he's doing and how things work so I understand. His staff is very friendly and efficient. I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for my appointments. I wish all doctor's offices were this way. I highly recommend him if you have any issues with sleeping or your jaw.

I came to Dr. Grin with severe jaw pain and he diagnosed sleep apnea and has worked with me until I am now pain free and have undisturbed sleep. He and his staff use cutting edge technologies and old fashioned hospitality. They are always professional and I feel cared for and remembered from one visit until the next. Dr. Grin has been monumental in helping me treat my TMJ disorder. I initially thought I would need to get surgery done on my TMJ but he has taken a more conservative approach, which has lowered risks that come with surgery and made costs a lot less. Overall, he's very meticulous with his work and will do everything to ensure you are being well serviced. He not only has given me advice with my TMJ issue but with overall general health help. He's more than just a specialist - he's an overall competent doctor. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

After years of hearing doctors tell me that there is nothing more they can do for my TMJ/face/head/neck pain except prescribe me pain medication, I gave up trying to look for anyone who can help me. I resorted to waiting until my joint degenerated severely enough that I'd have no choice but to get replacement surgery. I thought, maybe then I can get some relief and my quality of life can improve. I moved up to Hawthorne for graduate school in January and it has been a stressful time. As many TMD sufferers may know, stress is a big contributor to increasing the level of pain associated with TMD, so I became painfully desperate enough to start my search again for a doctor that may be able to help, since pain and the demands of grad school don't mix. That's when I found Dr. Paul Grin. Dr. Grin is competent, knowledgeable, and well-versed on the latest research studies and most effective treatment methods of his specialty. He practices active listening and makes an effort to get to know me holistically, so that every aspect of my life is taken into account when it comes to the treatments he recommends. What I also love about Dr. Grin is that he does not treat me as an object to be fixed. Rather, he partners up with me to ensure my effective recovery. Unlike many doctors I have come across, Dr. Grin also respects his client's time. If a client has an appointment from 9AM to 10AM for example, Dr. Grin will see them from 9AM to 10AM--on time, every time. I am also beyond impressed with Dr. Grin's staff, Blanca and Raquel, who, like Dr. Grin, are warm, passionate, and friendly. From the very first time I called the office, Blanca went out of her way to wrestle with my insurance regarding the coverage that I am guaranteed. I am under my mom's insurance and my mom pays extra for my "out-of-network" coverage. However, my insurance recently tried to bill me saying I don't have "out-of-network" coverage. Blanca, again, had my back and set them straight and even called me to tell me not to worry. I am pretty bitter and don't trust many practitioners due to my years of dealing with jaded doctors. However, Dr. Grin and his staff have not only restored my faith that passionate and caring professionals do exist, they've also restored my hope of living my life free of pain. I rarely, if ever, write reviews. But my quality of life has improved. After only three visits, my degree of pain has already decreased substantially. Therefore, I felt compelled to write this review, in hopes that others who are feeling helpless or depressed or even angry about the chronic pain that they have will find their way to Dr. Grin and find hope again.
