My experience of New York Auto School was excellent. The course work was well taught and my instructor before the test was excellent. I highly recommend the latter. After 28 years of driving experience I had so many bad driving habits that I was unaware of and the lesson quickly sorted me out.

I wanted to wait until I finished my lessons. Thank you all so much for making this entire process easy and less chaotic than I was expecting it to be. I have heard so many people make remarks about how difficult this whole process has been, but you have all made it easier. The staff was friendly. Also I appreciated all of my instructors and they all helped me in their own way. I have been a nervous driver and I have been putting it off as long as possible because I am not confident with myself and driving. I really did not think I would be able to do it. I feel confident and prepared to drive now that I am done with my lessons.

My son had Mario for his driving instructor. He says that he gives him 5 stars! Mario was helpful, answered his questions and let him know what he was doing wrong in a very constructive way. He was very happy with his lesson and would like to continue with another lesson with him. Hopefully in the next month he will take his driving test and be a licensed driver!

Although I have been driving for several years abroad, I failed my first test in the Bronx, after taking a couple of driving lessons with a Harlem-based driving school. I chose to take my second road exam with New York Auto School at White Plains. Just prior to the exam, I had an hour-long driving lesson with David who picked me up from the train station. The lesson was exceptional. David highlighted many errors I was unaware I was making and taught me a better approach to parallel driving, a task I have been struggling with even as an experienced driver. At the end of the lesson, we arrived at the exam site (no line!), I took the exam and passed. The entire process was by far more efficient than what I experienced in NYC. Hence, the total time spent, including the train ride from Manhattan and back, was less than it took to take my first exam in NYC.

The location was incredibly convient and a close subway stop away. I felt the Pre-Licensing Course instructor was incredibly thorough and helpful.

I am very ashamed that I can not recall the name of my instructor but he was fantastic. I had heard that this course is extremely boring and tedious but my instructor made it interesting, engaging, and related real life scenarios to help us understand all the concepts in detail. I feel proud I took this 5 hour course and I am extremely happy that it was him who taught it. thank you

Really fantastic experience: Richard was a great teacher - he made it interesting. Wendy was amazing in arranging for the road test in very quick time, getting around the DMV red tape.. And David was excellent in the pre-test stage, carefully going through what they'd be looking for and perfecting my response . Really super group of people! Thanks so much, guys!

He answered all my questions and gave a lot of tips to pass the road test. I also would like to thank NY Auto School for an outstanding service they provided from day 1 until the road test. All of the employees were very helpful and has a lot of patience to answer all questions. I highly recommend this driving school.
