Ms Shenema was great. Punctual,prepared,and started class as scheduled.She covered a lot of material that held my interest and gave us time to do the questions in each section.Then we went over them. The location was excellent and being on Sunday, there was ample parking. The combination deli/pizza store across the street had excellent pizza and garlic knots. Thankyou.

This course was very informative and enjoyable. I learned not only the rules of the road but the seriousness of my actions and their possible outcomes.

David was fantastic - he was very patient and gave me everything I needed to pass first go. Thanks so much!

Brilliant

I equate my passing of the Road Test to David, although he don’t normally instruct students anymore. I really was lucky to have him accompany me to my road test in Yonkers. I am from Brooklyn, a recently taught driver who still drives with apprehension. I have never been to Yonkers and had no clue what the traffic or street sighs were like. David helped me refresh some poorly learned traits and get familiar with the layout of Yonkers roads. I asked a million questions and he answered them all, very patiently and in depth. WITHOUT DAVID I WOULD NOT GAVE OBTAINED MY LICENSE!!!! I will be using this school again for Defensive Driving Course and Highway Driving Lessons.

My experience of New York Auto School was excellent. The course work was well taught and my instructor before the test was excellent. I highly recommend the latter. After 28 years of driving experience I had so many bad driving habits that I was unaware of and the lesson quickly sorted me out.

My driving instructor had so much energy, and covered everything at a good pace. She was nice, she was happy, and she definitely made the six hours go by quickly!

I wanted to wait until I finished my lessons. Thank you all so much for making this entire process easy and less chaotic than I was expecting it to be. I have heard so many people make remarks about how difficult this whole process has been, but you have all made it easier. The staff was friendly. Also I appreciated all of my instructors and they all helped me in their own way. I have been a nervous driver and I have been putting it off as long as possible because I am not confident with myself and driving. I really did not think I would be able to do it. I feel confident and prepared to drive now that I am done with my lessons.

Although I have been driving for several years abroad, I failed my first test in the Bronx, after taking a couple of driving lessons with a Harlem-based driving school. I chose to take my second road exam with New York Auto School at White Plains. Just prior to the exam, I had an hour-long driving lesson with David who picked me up from the train station. The lesson was exceptional. David highlighted many errors I was unaware I was making and taught me a better approach to parallel driving, a task I have been struggling with even as an experienced driver. At the end of the lesson, we arrived at the exam site (no line!), I took the exam and passed. The entire process was by far more efficient than what I experienced in NYC. Hence, the total time spent, including the train ride from Manhattan and back, was less than it took to take my first exam in NYC.

It was a good course and they made it interesting.

It was easily accessible. The instructor was very insightful. He really knew what he was talking about which made watching the video a lot easier to understand. His drawings and visual made the course easy to retain the information.
