The instructor Richard was amazing and could keep us all interested for the whole duration of the course. His breadth of knowledge and experience was so good! I highly recommend his prelicensing lessons to anyone - new or experienced drivers.

The quality of the course was good, all of my questions were answered almost entirely and, the course was only five hours long. I enjoyed learning all of the precautions accurately. I feel very confident in my driving skills now and I am ready to go take the road test .

I had a terrific experience with Jim Chodan. He addressed all of the topics that made me the most nervous to take my road test, and after having taken his course, I am more aware of what I need to work on as a driver. I would highly recommend this instructor to anyone who wants to take this course at NYAS!

All of your instructors were excellent. There was not one that my daughter Mary felt uncomfortable with. They instructed her well and because of this she went to the road test feeling confident. Thank you so much!

Tuesday night class taught by Richard was a much less unpleasant experience than could be imagined for such a "DMV required" class before going. Taught by Richard, he was pleasant and very helpful with explanations and advice. The training presented in the 5 hour class was very high quality. Located in downtown white plains, if that is easy for you to get to. The room is very small and the seats are not very comfortable, but everything else was much better than could have been expected, so Top rated 5 of 5 stars.

Awesome!!! I had JOE Defransico as my instructor twice. He is great.my first Day with him he had me out on the road driving. He is good at his job. He coached me on turns and wheel straightening and of my speed. Our last 30 mins I was actually driving him around.. This place has great instructors. H. Dillion was my first instructor and she is also awesome. I know with the two of them I will be more confident and driving on my own sooner than I could imagine..

I took 2 classes and a road test. Experienced instructor that identified my driving problems and helped in fixing them Easily accessed from the city and the instructor provided pick up and drop off at the train station. Overall, I had a great experience with N.Y. autoschool and I passed the road test..

I had the pleasure of having Mr. J Griffith (aka Joe), help me with my driving lessons, and practicing for the road test. He is so patient, considerate, and took his time focusing on problem areas for me. I was afraid to even try driving, and am so thankful to have had this experience with the New York Auto School, and am lucky to have had Joe help me with this journey. I cannot thank him and the NYAS enough!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND, you will not regret it and definitely suggest requesting Joe as your instructor.

The driving instructor was very patient. He arrived on time and was very pleasant to drive with. He was very detail oriented explaining everything making sure I understood before moving forward. By the end of the lesson I felt very comfortable with thr driving and I feel very confident moving forward with my road test.

I had a fantastic experience with J. Griffith. I failed my first driving test and my self-confidence was really low as a result. Mr. Griffith was a fabulous, experienced and patient teacher - he took the time to help me perfect my parallel parking technique and made sure I had all of the rules of the road (and the theory behind why they exist) down pat before the day of my road test. I passed with a perfect score and I couldn't have done it without his help. Highly highly recommend NY Auto School!
