Kayla is an amazing hygienist. I would highly recommend this office solely because of her. Dr Grobbelaar is a great dentist. He and Kayla take care of my entire family.

I am absolutely terrified of dentists and have been for all of my life. Every appointment was met with a great deal of shame, pain, and a hefty fee. When I first came to this office, I had not been to a dentist in many years, and knew that I would have to have a significant amount of work done, but the shame and embarrassment and humiliation I felt had caused me to put off any dental care for many years. I met with Dr. Ken first, and he has taken care of me for the past year with the utmost respect, kindness, and gentleness. Other than the UNC Dental School in Chapel Hill, I have never experienced such a caring and compassionate office, from the technicians who check you in, to the assistants, as well as the dentists themselves. Recently, I had to have emergency dental care and met Dr. Ernst, and once again, my trepidation was on high alert. However, within the first five minutes of meeting him, all of my fears were assuaged. Not only did he treat me with the utmost respect and compassion, but he also offered me several options and sat with me to weigh the benefits of each option. This office is an absolute gem, and it is clear that they care deeply for all of their patients, specifically those of us who must work – they have extended nightly hours, as well as weekend appointments. I cannot say enough good things about all of the people who work here, but I can express my most sincere gratitude for them. Thank you for your care team and for letting me be one of your patients.

The staff is the best I’ve ever had at a dentist office. I was impressed with the quality of care I received from everyone in the office from check in to check out. The offices were clean and everything was updated. I would give them a 10 out of 10 in every area

Great employees, very welcoming and helpful with financial needs and different resources to help in any way. I got a crown done and every appointment I felt safe and calm and comfortable with every step. Each visit has been nothing short of AMAZING! The customer service I received tonight from Dr Nick, his assistant Luis and Kelly are the reasons for me deciding to do this review. I have ALWAYS received great customer service from this office starting from the receptionist at the door to the staff in the back! U guys ROCK! When I notified Kelly that I was cold, she brought me a blanket and that did it for me! Dr Nick u have a great staff and your leadership, friendliness of the staff and Comfort of the office, the professionalism of your staff and customer service is TOP TIER!!! Keep up the good work!

My experience at Pleasant Plains was very good. They took time to explain what they were doing and why. They understood my fears due to past dental experiences from my past and treated me with respect with no judgement. I feel comfortable with Pleasant Plains and finally found a dentist that I can trust and continue to visit.
