I had experienced pain ever since having my vasectomy. I had painful ejaculation and a constant feeling of pressure and tenderness. I had been to multiple doctors, but never got any realistic answers. Dr. Sommers met with me and I really felt this was the way to go. The staff is also very nice. The procedure did not hurt. I cannot understand why anyone would be put under for this procedure. The recovery was a little harder than a vasectomy for me, but it was all within expectation. I’m three weeks out and I’d say I’m 90% better, which is great and definitely worth the money to me, which is unbelievably reasonable given Dr.Sommers amount of experience.

I was very pleased with the care that I received. I was super nervous of going in and having the procedure done, but all the staff and doctor eased my mind and talked me through it all the way. My wife and are both excited to be able to have a chance to extend our family. It’s been 6 years since I had my vasectomy done. Instantly after dr. Sommers performed the surgery he was able to see sperm in the tubes. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Feeling uneasy about this all of the staff made me feel comfortable. Kathy was amazing in helping us through the process and answered every question with professionalism and a caring manner. Do it or Sommers and his assistant have a great bedside manner. I was really nervous and they kept my mind at ease through the whole procedure This was a much better experience than when I had my vasectomy done 20 years ago. They are down to earth people who don’t talk over your head. I recommend this place and these wonderful people to everyone that is looking to have a reversal.

The experience was better then I could have expected. Staff was great and I felt comfortable. Unknown if procedure is going to produce any results but the procedure was effortless.

As of today I am 2 weeks out from my reversal and feeling great! The thought of any surgical procedure below the belt is not a pleasant one but in all honesty, Dr. Sommers and his staff did an efficient and near painless procedure for me. He is very generous with the local anesthetic and very attentive to ensure you are comfortable throughout the procedure. I alternated frozen pea bags as much as I could handle the day of and after the procedure. By the 3rd day my swelling had decreased almost entirely and I only took 600 mg of ibuprofen the entire day! I never had any need for the stronger pain medication prescribed. My wife and I are excited to have the opportunity to add to our family so hopefully I’m back before long writing an announcement instead of a review! A+ experience. Top notch doctor and staff that I would highly recommend to anyone!

Dr. Sommers's experience definitely showed thru the surgery process and keeping me informed as to what was going on before & after surgery. It went a lot better than expected. My husband had a Vasectomy reversal with Midwest and we were successful in having a baby girl. We live in NY but we have family in Missouri so we were so happy to find this doctor In Missouri for this reversal. My husband had the surgery while we were visiting for the Christmas holiday. The cost made it possible for us to do this procedure and My husband was in and out in no time after the procedure. Everyone was very professional and my husband had a quick recovery. It’s great that Midwest Vasectomy reversal exist to give families a chance to have a baby. We are so happy the surgery was successful and we now have our baby girl.

my wife and I talked from the moment I got a vasectomy (2013) about regretting the decision and the possibility of a reversal. Fast forward 6 years and we decided to go ahead with getting it reversed. I Googled "Vasectomy Reversal" and looked around. I researched quite a few hospitals and clinics, but none had better reviews, stories, or pricing than Midwest Vasectomy Reversals. Every story and review I read made me more certain about the process and the decision. St. Louis is a 4 hour drive from my home (Iowa City, Iowa) but the trip seemed like a good opportunity to think about what we were doing before we did it. *note, my parents had my kids overnight and no one knew what we were going to St Louis for. My procedure was done in late October, and we announced our third pregnancy at our family Thanksgiving just 6 weeks later! This past weekend we welcomed our third child into the world. She is the third of three girls and she is perfect! She looks just like her oldest sister! I cannot thank Dr. Sommers and crew enough. The process was easier than the vasectomy itself, they put my wife and I at ease the moment we walked in and answered all of our questions. The recovery was so smooth, I was ready to go back to work the day of the procedure (though, I ended up waiting for 48 hours). I wouldn't change a thing. I have no regrets. In fact, quite the opposite! I would do it all over again in a heart beat. Though the icing on the cake is having a new baby girl to love, I would say the cherry on top was my experience with a professional and Christian based business like Midwest Reversals! I had a great experience and I am so glad I did it!!! I found Dr. Sommer's online from a google search and after I read the reviews I decided to schedule the appointment and give the $500 down payment to reserve my appointment. To be completely honest, the affordability of the vasectomy reversal and the ease of scheduling the appointment online, seemed too good to be true. We just had faith that everything was going to be fine. We had to drive from out of state (about 5 hours) for the appointment. We briefly met with Dr. Sommers when we arrived, he went over the details of the procedure, and took me in for surgery. While I was in surgery my wife walked across the street and got my prescription filled at Walgreens. My surgery was done in 1 hour 15 minutes and everything went great! The doctor that had done the vasectomy 7 years ago told us that it would be irreversible. But again, we just had faith that it would all work out and it did! Dr Sommers seemed to complete the reversal with ease! My wife drove me home immediately after surgery, the 5 hour car ride was fine, there really wasn't any discomfort until after I had gotten home. I'm am writing this review 13 days after my surgery. I went back to work after 4 days, I am recovering well and I look forward to what God has planned for our family in the future! We are so thankful for Dr Sommers!

The price I first saw online was inviting but the Godly Testimony s on Dr Sommers website was enough to convince me that it was a trustworthy team. The procedure went much smoother than expected. Dr Sommers did a great job with the local anesthesia, and an excellent quick job with the repairs. I'm four days later here writing this review and have lost no sleep.. I want to thank Dr. Sommers and his fantastic staff for making my experience worry free and as efficient as possible. I flew in to St. Louis in the morning, had the procedure, and flew back that evening. Dr. Sommers and his staff made me feel comfortable about the whole procedure. He was very detailed about the every aspect of the reversal and answered all questions I had . I am happy to report that the procedure was successful. My wife and I were pregnant within 2 months and we welcomed our son just under a year from my procedure.

First and foremost thank you Dr. Sommers and staff for the excellent care that we received. This procedure enabled us to try to have a family together and for that we will forever be thankful. For future potential clients, my husband had a vasectomy over 18 years ago in a previous marriage. We met in 2016, fell in love and I knew I wanted a child with him (which would be my first). Fortunately, my husband wanted me to experience the joy of a child, so the next step was figuring out where to go for the reversal. I searched near our location (Nashville, TN) and could not find a specialist. It was important to me that we went to an office that primarily focused on reversals considering the length of time it had been since he had the vasectomy. I was able to narrow down my list to three offices, all but one in different states, and it was very noticeable how expensive the other offices were… more than double the cost! So, I thoroughly read through the Midwest Vasectomy Reversals website. There were so many reviews from people who were going through similar situations and had success. I compared cost, location, the ease of finding reviews on the office. I called the office and was treated with much patience and respect. From there, the appointment was given in plenty of time for us to make the appropriate arrangements. The procedure did not last long and, per my husband, with very minimal pain. We were even able to check out the Arch the next day, he was fine walking (for planning purposes, we arrived on a Wednesday night, the surgery was Thursday morning, and flew home Friday afternoon). Our procedure was August 2018, I found out I was pregnant in January 2019. *Smiling* Maddison was born August 2019, healthy and strong. We are now trying and praying for a second child. I was the one reading the reviews to gain better understanding, and now that we have gone through this experience, it is very important to me that I share. I could not if had a better experience. I was worried about a few things, and had a ton of questions. Midwest vasectomy reversals was patient with me and answered everything timely and promptly. There was virtually no pain. The quality of work does not match the price. He could ask for so much more but you can tell its a passion. Not to just make money. The doctor and staff where beyond friendly and professional. Again, if you are hesitant..... don't be. You are in great hands. Just do it

Honestly, this reversal was a quicker, easier, and less painful process than the original vasectomy. I wis in and out of the Doc's office in less than 2 hours. There was no pain. The Doc and the staff were very accomodating. The procedure was very professional and top-notch. If you've been hesitating, don't.

I had my vasectomy reversal done with Dr. Sommers 3 weeks ago and I’m feeling great! Dr. Sommers and his staff made the entire experience amazing. I was very nervous about the local anesthesia because I had actual been “knocked out” during my vasectomy because of my anxiety. The thought of being awake had me nervous, but it was by far so much better than I had anticipated. I went in thinking pain was going to be a 10/10 and it was a 2/10. There was slight discomfort during the numbing process, but it went away quick. Then the procedure flew by and it was over before I knew it. Dr. Sommers made me feel very comfortable the whole time. The healing process has been much better than the healing from my vasectomy. I cannot thank Dr. Sommers and his staff enough for the opportunity that they have given back to my wife and I. We hope to have good news within the next few months to come! I would highly recommend Dr. Sommers to anyone considering a reversal. Best experience I could have had!

We chose Dr. Sommers after all the positive reviews. I had a rough vasectomy and wasn’t looking forward to the reversal. Dr Sommers took his time making sure I felt little to no pain during the procedure. His professional staff made sure all our questions/concerns were answered. One concern was the 7 hour drive home. I can say that I had no issues with the drive home. I was able to drive the last part of the way home. The reversal was so much easier than my vasectomy 6 months prior. Now we are crossing our fingers hoping for positive results. Thank you Dr. Sommers and your staff for all you have done.

We came from out of town and found local accommodations. The area is very nice to stay with plenty of parks and nice hotels. The office was easy to locate and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The procedure went really well. My husband said Dr. Sommers was very reassuring and made sure he was comfortable the whole time. He gave me very clear instructions on what to bring and when to pick him back up, and I was able to easily get his prescription from the pharmacy across the street. Afterwards we went back to the hotel and let him rest with ice and ibuprofen. He was ready to drive back home the next day. Other than some mild bruising and soreness, the experience was relatively simple. Very similar to the vasectomy. The procedure was done on a Wednesday and he went back to work on light duty by Monday. We would also like to mention this was done during the COVID restrictions but they only take one patient at a time so that there was no contact with anyone else in the office or lobby and very small amount of staff, making compliance easy. Thank you so much to Dr. Sommers and his staff for helping us with our journey and making this a good experience. We still can’t believe how low cost the procedure was compared to others. We are so grateful.

We drove 5.5 hours from Iowa to Saint Louis to see Dr. Sommers a drove right home after! It was a wonderful experience! The price was right & my husband says the local anesthesia was just right for pain control. We will hopefully update in a few months with good news! Thanks again!

Dr. Sommers did a great job. I had no discomfort at all during the procedure. The procedure took about two hours and Dr Sommers made everything very easy. I definitely recommend him. Honestly I was a little nervous the night before but once I met everybody at the office and got to chatting with everyone in the morning I felt much better. My coworker that told me about Dr Sommers researched for over a year trying to find a good place to go that wasn’t super expensive. This place is a win win. Super affordable and quality work.
